That said it's stupid and nonsense, right? I mean vampires are super fast and strong sometimes and with some opponents but, surprisingly, there are some ocassions they aren't (fighting Ryana Cruz for example)... I don't get it. Anyone agree?

Her entire character right now is ridiculous to me. the 8 lives thing. Who the hell hung up her clothes in the bayou? Why naked when she comes back? Why stab someone to hunt them down, just kill them right then if you are indeed so compelled to do so?! She is supposed to be this terminator like vampire killer but just chit chats with Damon...you know for reasons then in the flash forward is all no you should be the one with the mark. She is terrible at her job and the conception of her character is poorly handled. Also she doesn't look a thing like Elena and I wish they would stop trying to push that. Everything is just so sloppy and insulting to everyone's intelligence.

Everything is just so sloppy and insulting to everyone's intelligence. That's what I kept thinking too about her and Damon's scene - you're supposed to kill him not get to know him! For a moment I was worried - with all those references from Damon to Rayna being another doppelganger (I personally don't see it and quite frankly I'm not sure why the writers even bother to put that reference in) that Damon and Rayna might do the nasty. RIDICULOUS! Why bother going through all that trouble to find Stefan just to switch the mark with Damon when she should just want to kill both of them? And Rayna is supposed to be at her most powerful as she is on her last life but she can't even handle a one-on-one with Damon? So much for being powerful. I don't get it and at this point I don't think the writers will writer anything that will let me get it.

I actually dont like Rayna's character at all. I dont get her. If she is on the hunt for all vampires, she should be stabbing all vampires.

We are only on episode 13 in Australia, but I've been wondering how Rayna as a hunter ties into other hunters like Jeremy? Or she just doesn't? Her father was mentioned as one of the five but The Brotherhood of the Five originated in 1110 AD as their main mission was to kill Silas but they were all killed by Klaus later on??? Yet Rayna killed her father fueling her hatred of vampires... Even after the death of the original five hunters, the Hunter's Curse still existed due to the presence of Potential Hunters in each age (hello Buffy). I get Raynas Magic was forged seperately to the original hunters but I still don't get how her father was one of the 5..... Regarding her strength well I'm yet to see anything impressive apart from her punching a glass window then leaping through it. And really she looks like a far off distant relative to Elena at best - they both have dark hair.....
