I had the same sense of thinking olette regarding the clip. I think they were just trying to have a bit of fun - I think they chose that scene because it was supposedly 'epic' and an easy scene to play with, with Chris playing a villain and mocking the lovey dovey stuff which I guess sort of but not really segways into season 7 since they want to focus on a darker show.... I don't think DE fans really have a right to be too offended by it. They've done pretty well out of the show....but Ill leave that at that anyway... Oh I brought up the fact Matt wasn't on the poster (I'm a bit defensive about ole Matty boy) but yeah what you said about the poster makes sense yes it makes sense about the ComicCon poster but it leaves the question why wasn't Zach Roerig invited to San Diego? Isn't he a main cast member anymore?

I don't know if this got posted somewhere else.... but I gotta say the last minute is pretty funny.... could it be the gay couple teased for S7 is Kamon? Damon and Kai's rain kiss has to be EPIC. Gaymon Salvatore ? It's too bad we're loosing Chris Wood.... he's a funny evil villain. I did find this very funny and do think they were making fun of themselves and trying to say 'hey we don't take ourselves too serious here' so for me it was good to see they can laugh at themselves (JP and company). Also agree though with another poster, wish they would've showed what was going to happen in the up coming season. I know they don't film any scenes before comic con but wish they would so you get a preview of what's to come. Also I think why the poster only had the five of them was because those were the only ones at comic con and then they were all going to sign it there. olette, I agree with your comment..... I do believe they were just making a spoof.... What caught me as strange was using their "alpha male" lead to do it. Guess everyone has to do their part to drum up viewers. For me some hints about this new "darker" version would have made more sense. TIP for ya: When you do a quote make sure you scroll down far enough to click for a cursor below the light gray quote box. I enjoy your posts .... keep em comin'

I think that's the trouble I had with another comment I posted.lol I really did enjoy the Kaimon rain kiss but didn't want to offend anyone about it, still trying to understand the rules and find my way around here. p.s. hope this one worked?

I know some of it depends on the actors schedule but other than that I don't know how they choose.

Say hello to the women who are going to make the Salvatores’ lives even more of a living hell on The Vampire Diaries next season.
Scarlett Byrne (Falling Skies) and Teressa Liane (Neighbours) will play heretics Nora and Mary Louise, the show’s first same-sex couple. Both women are extremely powerful and fiercely protective of one another — a lethal combination for anyone who might decide to cross them.
Of course, it sounds like neither of them can hold a candle to Valerie, played by Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker). Despite being a member of Lily’s “family,” she’s having none of Mama Salvatore’s peaceful approach to change, largely because of the struggles she’s faced in her own life.
(For reference, the order in which the ladies appear from left to right in the photo above are Byrne, Liane and Blackmore.)tvline.com/2015/07/15/vampire-diaries-season-7-new-characters-cast-same-sex-couple/The Vampire Diaries - Season 7 - Jaiden Kaine cast as Beau www.spoilertv.com/2015/07/the-vampire-diaries-season-7-jaiden.htmlLook out for a new character overload! EP Caroline Dries confirmed that the show “will be introducing 5 new characters in one scene.” “I badly want to do a crossover. I don’t know if we will this season. It’s just very hard to coordinate the logistics.” – EP Caroline Dries on a The Vampire Diaries/ The Originals crossover Elena’s memory will be properly honored in the upcoming season. Hey Damon fans. DO NOT look for him to move on with ANYONE anytime soon. “It would be throwing away six seasons of story if we gave Damon a new love interest right away. We do want to see Damon happy, but for the time being no new love interest,” said Caroline Dries. “The deals have not closed yet. But hot with a capital H. 3 very beautiful and smart women, and then a couple of gentleman that aren’t so bad to look at either.” – EP Julie Plec on how hot the new characters will be. “Damon and Bonnie really bonded. They shared something that no one else can ever understand.” – EP Julie Plec Bonnie is saddled with the guilt that she has her life and her friend doesn’t have her’s. “If Damon and Bonnie’s friendship is going to stay on track, they have a lot of work to do.” – EP Julie Plec Caroline ‘s storyline will be front and center this season. It sounds like her troubles are nowhere near over yet. Michael Malarkey said that Enzo’s big dilemma this season will be choosing a side. “We see a time jump with Enzo and it shows his love life. It might be someone we know.” – Michael Malarkey Looks like our earlier predictions were confirmed by Michael Malarkey. “There is a gay heritic couple that comes in.” Caroline is still grieving the death of her mother, but will try and distract herself with her friendship with Stefan, which can only work for so long until that gets complicated as well. “It will be more challening than Caroline realizes to find out what kind of “ship” she has with Stefan.” – Candice Accola Caroline will not be showing up The Originals as of right now , and Candice Accola admitted she isn’t sure about whether or not Caroline would want to reunite with Klaus anytime soon. “I don’t know if Caroline would want to go visit Klaus. I know everyone else wants her to.” “We have an opportunity to create something new.” – Paul Wesley on Nina Dobrev’s departure Mama Salvatore will still be around causing trouble and could potentially drive Damon and Stefan apart. It sounds like Steroline will be getting, ahem, closer during season 7 as well. Paul Wesley coyly revealed, “I think Caroline gives Stefan the green light.” Take this one as you will: “You’re going to see Bonnie and Damon dealing with each other directly.” said Kat Graham. Kat Graham revealed that Bonnie’s goals for the new season will be discovered quickly when the show returns. “You’re going to see what Bonnie wants for the season in the first episode.” – Kat Graham Kat Graham says Bonnie is done with suffering and sacrificing. “She wants to not sacrifice anymore. If she lost all of this she’s going to make it count.” – Kat Graham on Bonnie “You’re dealing with someone who “for the moment” has lost the love of his life.” – Kat Graham on Damonwww.fanbolt.com/64927/the-vampire-diaries/

I don't care how pretty they are. Television and movies are littered with pretty faces. I'm more interested in how good they are as actresses and whether their characters are compelling to watch. The last few seasons has had some rather weak villains, so finding someone that can reverse that trend is far more interesting to me.

Paul Wesley Gives The Scoop On Season 7
So what’s going on with Stefan next season?
Paul Wesley: Stefan is always wild about a girl, so this time it’s Caroline. He’s also kind of hoping his mom is a good mom who can take care of him, because he has abandonment issues, and his mom is a big psycho, manipulative wench. Should I speak about my mother that way? It’s terrible.
It feels like he’s always got a special place in his heart for his mom.
PW: I know! He’s so naive.
Is he going to get to the point where he realizes she’s crazy?
PW: I don’t know! I think Stefan’s drinking the Kool-Aid. He thinks she’s redeemable or whatever.
Right. He thinks that about everybody.
PW: He really does. He’s such an optimist — he’s the opposite of me; I think everyone sucks.
How was it directing the episode last season, “Woke Up with a Monster”? Did you have any favorite scenes that were really fun to do?
PW: I loved directing the episode last season. It was interesting. I shot all interiors, and when you’re doing a TV series, you’re prone to weather changes, and you’re losing daylight, you’re losing nighttime. I just literally shot on stages, so I had all this play room, and it was so fun. I’m doing a couple more this year, and I can’t wait. It reinvigorated this sense of pleasure. Obviously I’m excited to be on the show, but I’d been doing it for so long that it can be a little bit like you sort of know what you’re getting yourself into, but with the directing you just discover something new every time. You’re always trying to get better, and it’s been great.
Julie Plec said that season seven is going to have a new focus on the Damon-Stefan brother relationship. Are you looking forward to working more with Ian again?
PW: People really seem to love the brothers together. They love that dynamic and people always talk about how that’s their favorite relationship. So in that capacity, yeah. Their relationship is the most interesting one on the show, I think. I hope. They start out as these enemies, there’s so much history, and I love doing the flashbacks.
What can you say about the flash-forwards on this season?
PW: I know that someone is after Damon and Stefan, and there’s imminent danger and threat. They’re running from this thing, but I don’t know what it is. It’s ambiguous, but obviously on purpose.
What was your favorite scene to film this past season?
PW: Remember when Stefan is in the bar with Elena, and she’s like, “Are you OK?” And he’s like, “I’m totally cool, everything is fine.” Then he goes in and he gets his ass kicked by that guy because he wants that feel? I like that scene, because he like needed to be beat up, he needed to feel.www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Paul-Wesley-Interview-About-Vampire-Diaries-Season-7-37951722

“The Vampire Diaries” is welcoming two new residents to Mystic Falls for Season 7. Tim Kang and Todd Lasance have joined the long-running CW supernatural drama in recurring roles, TheWrap has learned.
Kang will play the role of Oscar, a laid back stoner who’s been living the high life off the grid for months, hiding a surprising connection to the Salvatores. But Oscar’s Zen lifestyle comes to a screeching halt when supernatural intervention turns him into a feral killer.
Lasance will take on the role of Julian, who’s described as a feared, storied immortal with a reputation for excelling in earthly pleasures. Julian is pure charisma or pure creep, depending on whom you ask. The one thing he fears is anonymity, an unlikely outcome given that he’s perpetually on the run, leaving chaos in his wake, and attracting even more dangerous followers.
Both characters will make their first appearance in Episode 703.

Can you see yourself doing Vampire Diaries for much longer?
I think I was really excited about the idea of doing a season seven, based on the fact that I feel like my character, who was basically in the other dimension for about two years, finally got out, and I knew that the fans felt that the character’s story wasn’t completed. There are storylines with other characters, whether it’s Damon, or other people that the character has scenes with, that they just felt that the character’s relationships had not come full circle or had not fully developed, and wanted to explore that also, I felt the same way. I didn’t feel like the character’s story was done, I felt that there was more that they could do, but I won’t say I would do a Season eight, it really depends on whether I’m fulfilled, and whether we’re like ‘Okay, this story’s been told, and we’re good to go.’

tvline.com/2015/08/11/vampire-diaries-season-7-spoilers-stefan-caroline-dating-bonnie-boyfriend/It’s too bad Elena passed out early, because it sounds like she’ll be missing one hell of a party when The Vampire Diaries returns for its seventh season on Thursday, Oct. 8 (The CW, 8/7c). TVLine caught up with executive producer Julie Plec at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, where she teased Bonnie and Matt’s new love interests, the return of Damon and Alaric’s bromance and a particularly surprising “curveball” being thrown at Stefan and Caroline. TVLINE | Let’s start with the season premiere title, ‘22,190 Days.’ You know, I saw that somebody leaked that title, but it’s not the whole thing. It’s actually something like “Day 20 of 22,190, Give or Take.”
TVLINE | I feel like I know the answer to this, but what is that counting down to? It’s counting down to the beautiful inevitability of his reunion with his one true love.
TVLINE | So is that also his countdown clock for when Bonnie’s going to die? [Laughs] Well, by then, Bonnie will have lived a nice life. He tacks on an extra decade for her every now and then. No, what’s really lingering for Damon is … he waited for Katherine for a long-ass time, so it’s the waiting game. That’s not what’s hard for him; it’s what to do with himself and how to behave as a man and a vampire in the interim.
TVLINE | And what are some of his coping mechanisms? Well, drinking, as always. And now he has Alaric back on the bourbon wagon, because he’s also been dealt the s–t end of life. Bonnie has sort of taken it upon herself to be the uninvited chaperone, which is funny because she and Damon have so much unspoken between them — the guilt, the resentments, the gratitude, there’s a list of things they’re dealing with. Watching them air it out together is actually really nice. We’ll continue to watch their friendship build, because they really do owe each other a lot. They’re going to go through this whole thing together, which is a fun dynamic we’re exploring.
TVLINE | When last I spoke to Kat Graham, she said she pitched a bisexual story for Bonnie. She did! In theory, we were all for it, and it’s entirely possible it could happen someday. At the time, we were still so close to Buffy. So if we also made our witch gay … frankly, I didn’t feel like reading all the tweets calling me a hack artist. But Kat really believes in it as a potential road for her character, and we support it 100 percent, so if it ever feels right for the character, we’re all for it.
TVLINE | But you are planning to pair her up with someone this season? Yes, yes we are. It’s not a woman yet, but it’s a little bit surprising. It comes strangely out of nowhere, but it will make a lot of sense. That’s my enigmatic tease.
TVLINE | And what’s the plan for Matt? I think it’s time you introduce a nice woman he can settle down with and start popping out babies. I will tell you this: There’s a pitch on the table as we speak. I don’t know if she’s nice yet. In this town, they often have two sides to their personalities, so one can never predict if a nice girl will be a nice girl. But I do think it’s time for Matt to start asking himself what kind of people he’s willing to be surrounded by. I think you’ll be surprised by the answer.
TVLINE | Anything you can tease about Stefan and Caroline that you haven’t already? I would say Stefan and Caroline are part of one of the bigger surprises of the season, which we’ll unfold around Episode 6 or 7. It’s a bit of a fun curveball to throw their way.
TVLINE | Lastly, I know Nina Dobrev is done filming, but might we see old footage of Elena used for flashbacks? None that we’ve done so far, but I don’t think we wouldn’t use it. If it calls for it, we will.
