Will Klaus and Hayley finally confront their real issue and talk on The Originals? — FabienneP123Based on my lightning round of scoop with EP Julie Plec, it sounds like it’ll be a while before we see that. Here we go: Klaus: “Begrudgingly redemptive.” Elijah: “Pissed as hell.” Hayley: “Even more pissed than Elijah.” Marcel: “Back in charge.” Cami: “Dropped into a whole new mystery.” Davina: “Struggling with the responsibilities of power.” Freya: “Trying to cut loose, footloose.” Jackson: “How to be a good husband when your wife might be in love with another man?” Vincent: “Desperate to deny his magic and having a really hard time sticking to that.” Rebekah: “On a mission far, far away, which may put her in jeopardy sooner than we think.” www.ew.com/article/2015/09/25/spoiler-room-greys-blindspot-murder-spoilers

Question: Hey Ausiello, any scoop on Camille from The Originals? —BelleAusiello: “Cami has a lot on her plate” in Season 3, her portrayer Leah Pipes explains. “She’s turned into the forensic psychologist for the New Orleans PD and is starting her practice as a therapist. Her first client is Klaus, which is basically purification by fire. If she can get through this, she’ll be the best therapist in the world. She could make Kanye West humble if she can get through to Klaus.” tvline.com/2015/09/30/greys-anatomy-250th-episode-spoilers-arizona-season-12/

‘The Originals’: Kol, Rebekah and Finn return in first-look flashback photos
“The Originals” Season 3 is going back in time and Zap2it has the first look at Rebekah (Claire Holt) and her siblings right after they’ve escaped from their father Mikael (Sebastian Roche). That includes a peek at Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Finn (Casper Zafer) as they come back to the show for the flashbacks. There’s a blood war afoot when “The Originals” returns. It is months after the Mikaelson brothers had their bloody showdown with Dahlia (Claudia Black) and the divide between Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is bigger than ever. However, they have bigger issues on their plate as the first vampires Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah sired are returning for a mysterious agenda against their “parents.” The first look photos give a glimpse at the flashbacks coming in the Season 3 reveal what life was like for the Mikaelson siblings as separated from Mikael. According to The CW’s official episode description, it’ll be Klaus that first picks up on the fact that the sires are on their way when “an old vampire friend Lucien (Andrew Lees)” comes to New Orleans with “mysterious agenda.” “The Originals” Season 3 premieres Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. zap2it.com/2015/09/the-originals-season-3-flashback-photos-rebekah-kol-finn-klaus/

The Originals Season 3: Hayley and Elijah Are 'Doomed to Love Each Other'
I do Hope you’re sitting down, because Daniel Gillies‘ explanation of Elijah and Hayley’s journey in Season 3 of The Originals — premiering Thursday at 9/8c on The CW — is kind of heartbreaking. As you (should) know, Hayley is still cursed to remain a werewolf outside of a full moon, meaning she has but one night per cycle to see her baby. As you’ll discover in tomorrow’s season opener, Elijah is determined to make those rare occasions as enjoyable as possible, though their get-togethers don’t allow much time for “the talk.” “I think it’s kind of masterful for the writers to have Elijah and Hayley not discuss their relationship,” Gillies tells TVLine. “There’s something kind of Dickensian about the whole thing; there’s sort of a parlor room romance that comes along with the restraint. It’s what makes them interesting, but I do think they’re sort of doomed to love each other.” And with wolf hunters running rampant throughout the bayou, it’s also up to Elijah to keep Hayley safe, a challenge Gillies’ character accepts without hesitation. “He’ll do what he has to do, but I don’t know if he’s necessarily dark about it,” he says when asked whether Elijah will go to a dark place to protect Hayley. “One thing I admire about Elijah is that, if nothing else, he’s economical. He sees occasional violence as a necessary evil, or even just another day at the office. And when it comes to the reunification of his family, I don’t think any measure is too dark. By human standards, he’ll certainly do some malevolent-looking things, but by 1,000-year-old vampire standards, it’ll be just like a trip to Starbucks for tea.” Speaking of darkness, I wouldn’t hold my breath for a Klaus/Elijah reconciliation anytime soon, as both Hayley and Elijah blame Klaus for Hope’s mother’s condition — and rightfully so. Concludes Gillies, “This show is really about these two brothers attempting to fight the inevitable, which is that they’re always going to be driving one another away.” tvline.com/2015/10/07/the-originals-season-3-hayley-elijah-spoilers-daniel-gillies/#more-648390

The Originals’ Daniel Gillies on Elijah and Hayley love, Klaus as a dad and more
As “The Originals” prepares for its Season 3 premiere, there’s much to talk about in terms of the Mikaelson family. After working together to defeat Dahlia (Claudia Black) in the Season 2 finale, things have definitely changed in the French Quarter. Zap2it spoke with Elijah Mikaelson himself — Daniel Gillies — about what the new season brings in terms of danger for the family and the continuing tentions between Elijah and Klaus (Joseph Morgan). Plus, what are the odds that the eldest Mikaelson brother could find love with Hayley, the mother of his niece?
Zap2it: Given how last season left off — Hayley under a spell making her stay in wolf form most of the time and the Mikaelsons coming together to defeat Dahlia — where do we find Elijah as the new season begins? Daniel Gillies: When he told everybody to come out to New Orleans at the beginning of the show, he had such hopes and dreams and aspirations. Those have sort of been rocked and shattered due to a variety of cataclysms that have been thrown at them from every single angle. There’s a slight desperation at the moment. I think we’re seeing [Elijah] come a little undone. He’s sort of the only one of the original family that’s desperately clawing to maintain a sense of … I don’t want to say nobility, because I don’t think that’s what it is. A sort of humanity that he’s trying to hold onto. Violence comes very easy to these people and nobody is more cognizant of that than Elijah, Now it’ll certainly feel more menacing to the audience to watch him because there’s no length he won’t go to to preserve the safety of Hope and Hayley, who have almost eclipsed his loyalty to Klaus, at least for the moment. It’s interesting, because though they came together in the finale, there’s a very clear and fierce wedge dividing Klaus and Elijah. With Klaus having custody of baby Hope, where is the balance struck between the two of them in terms of who is the parental figure. I find that interesting. It’s funny that you should say that. There were these images released online of Elijah holding the baby and I started getting all of this rage and vitriol on Twitter and social media feeds. People are saying, “This is the kind of bulls*** that pisses me off, who the f*** do they think they are?” What’s all this rage? Elijah’s just holding a baby! It was because it was Elijah holding the baby and not Klaus. It’s a brave thing for the writers to do actually, to make your lead character be sort of an absentee father. It wasn’t something he wanted. The moment that Klaus discovered she was pregnant, he told her to abort the kid! This isn’t Tony Danza on “Who’s the Boss,” do you know what I mean? This is Klaus Mikaelson, he’s awful. He’s the poster child for the worst father that’s ever been and I like the fact that the writers aren’t shying from that. They’re brazenly saying, “Here’s your hero. He’s the king of the kingdom that you love to watch and he’s a piece of s***.” I think you can retrofit these things with scenes of Klaus tucking his daughter in and I do think there’s a degree of passion and love there. Do I think she’s a priority? No. They’ve written him in such a way that he’s so malevolent and so unpredictable that there’s just no way — the way they’ve designed the character — that he can represent anything safe or good to that child. Whereas Elijah, I think, represents a degree of integrity and consistency. Elijah is himself a monster desperately trying to not be a monster. Of those two, I know which one I’d put the care and safety of my child into. When you look at these two brothers together, Klaus seems to be this evil guy where once in a while you see this hint of a want to be good, though it’s quickly dashes away. Then there’s Elijah. Though he’s a monster, he’s constantly striving to be good. Yet sometimes you see the evil side shine through. I’m not even sure that I would call it evil. I think the barometer for evil has to alter significantly when talking about these guys. I have a friend who once described to me, it was a beautiful description of “The Originals.” He said it’s like Elijah and Klaus — and at the time Rebekah — are human beings that have been marooned on an island that has been entirely inhabited by chimpanzees. There has to be a new type of morality. Human beings, for example, we’re atrocious. Even “good” people are murdering cows and sheep and chickens everyday and consuming. We’re taking too much power and we’re vulgar. I think that when you’re talking about these guys, violence to them is like breathing or ordering a pizza. I think you have to understand that it’s much simpler for them because they know that there’s no real consequence. The only thing they’re protecting is their discretion and the ability to have their clandestine kingdom. They don’t want to call attention to their violence. I think it’s a necessary evil. It’s a slight difference, but it is a difference. It’s something Elijah doesn’t mind unleashing if he feels people are behaving unjustly. Lastly, and this is a question a lot of fans have on their mind, what do you think about Elijah and Hayley becoming love interests. There’s a strong bond there — especially with Hope — but in your mind, can they become romantically involved? Well, that’s a good question and it’s one only the writers can answer. I think, truthfully, as long as they’re around there’s a possibility of romantic entwinement. The truth is, they’re already romantically involved. I think when you know you’re destined for someone, there’s always … they have tremendous energy for each other and I like that they don’t have to behave on those desires. It’s a restraint. It’s a difficult one, but it’s the restraint against their love that makes viewers curious, not behaving upon the desire. We love it because they’re withholding. I wouldn’t mind if we held for another five seasons. [laughs] I’d be an old man by the time we’re done, but I wouldn’t mind if we held it for a long time. Keeping it from being fully consummated does stoke that fan fire of wanting to see it more and more. There’s also the times when you finally get the relationship you’ve been clamoring for and it doesn’t necessarily meet the hype. That’s so true … I think the restraint is what makes things exciting. “The Originals” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. zap2it.com/2015/10/the-originals-season-3-daniel-gillies-elijah-hayley-klaus-hope/

The Originals’: Will Kinney will rely on Cami, but can she be trusted? With Jason Dohring joining “The Originals” as Detective Will Kinney, he’s going to be one of the few familiar faces in the French Quarter to not have any sort of superhuman powers, which can put him at a disadvantage. As Dohring tells Zap2it, “It’s no good. Any vampire can really just kill any human, it seems.” Luckily, he won’t be fighting alone. Shedding a little insight on his character, Dohring explains, “I want to think he kind of moved up in the ranks, starting out as a regular cop and then became a detective. You’ve got all these gruesome crimes showing up, he turns to his buddy Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who knows the occult, to team up and see what they can find out together.” He continues, “What’s cool is they both go about it in different ways. Obviously I don’t know anything about the superhuman stuff and he sort of expects it right away. They’re on different pages, but both investigating [these crimes].” While Vincent is shaping up to be a valuable ally for Kinney, there’s another resident of New Orleans who he’ll come to rely on. “Cami (Leah Pipes) is sort of looking after him, as well,” Dohring teases. That’s protection Kinney is going to need. While the character “likes to think he’s tough,” it’s hard to be prepared for coming up against a vampire, witch or werewolf. That becomes even more true with the impending threat on the area as vampires sired by the Mikaelsons return. Dohring is the first to admit Kinney is equipped “kind of inadequately” for the situation, but he’s not going to let that stop him. “There is a drive and purpose to him to solve this [investigation’ and I think by working with Cami, she has influence in her own way,” he says. “Them working together is better than him going at it alone.” Can she be fully trusted, though? Clearly, Cami has a connection with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) that’s hard to break. If it came down to Klaus or a fellow human, who would she side with? Regardless, as with his character relying on Cami, Dohring was able to rely on Pipes after joining the show. There’s bound to be jitters being injected into an on-set family like “The Originals” in its third season. “I was a little nervous on set that first day, but Leah was kind enough to run lines with me and work on our scene beforehand,” he says. “It’s cool to see these guys because they really care about making a quality show. It isn’t a paycheck or anything like that. It’s working hard to make good work and I think that’s so inspiring. Especially in the third year, you know what I mean? You could have a tendency to be lazy, but there’s nothing like that at all.” zap2it.com/2015/10/the-originals-season-3-jason-dohring-will-kinney-cami/

Julie Plec Breaks Down 'The Originals' Season 3 Premiere Twists
During Thursday's season three premiere, mutilated bodies were found in New Orleans, leading Detective Will Kinney (Jason Dohring) to start an investigation. But by the end of the hour, viewers watched Lucien mutilate himself in a similar way. While Will doesn't know what's going on, "Lucien is an interesting character," Dohring tells The Hollywood Reporter. "And when you play against a character like that, you don't know what you're getting, too, because he could be setting you up. You're investigating this and he's putting you over here [on an entirely different track]. And then you go over here, and it's not what you thought. So there's an interesting [game they're playing]." But Lucien's games weren't the only thing that went down in the hour. Here, The Originals creator Julie Plec talks with THR about some of the season three premiere's biggest moments. What does Davina (Danielle Campbell) want with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin)?
Davina, having taken Marcel's (Charles Michael Davis) advice perhaps a little bit too much to heart, really needs an assist in dealing with the witches that have shown their disrespect to her. She wants to make a point and she wants to make it loudly, and she's going to use Hayley to help her do that. Is she at all thinking of the ramifications of this?
Davina doesn't think much about the Originals family these days. She's riding a wave of power and a little bit of arrogance, and isn't thinking her actions might have repercussions. When all is said and done, the family has been trying for months to undo this curse, and here Davina strolls along and undoes it with a blink of the eye. Even if they're angry, the end result is the return of Hayley, so that is a good thing. Speaking of the curse, we saw a lot of dead wolves in this hour. Are all of the wolves we know safe? And when will we see them again?
We will see the familiar faces we are hoping to see very soon in the season; by the second episode, we'll know our favorite wolves are intact. After months of positive behavior, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) snapped and killed a critic of his art. How will he be handling this step back?
Klaus has spent a lot of months on his, allegedly, best behavior. As Marcel says, when Klaus is on his best behavior, it's only a matter of time until he has to act out. And in this case, he's feeling the sting of rejection yet again when he does so much to try and turn over a new leaf, and yet still gets called a disappointment — it's that little kid whose parents just didn't raise him right and treat him well coming out to fight back. How will Lucien's arrival — and Lucien's own bad behavior — impact Klaus?
Klaus is never better than when he has the mystery of an enemy in his presence. With Lucien, it's tough to tell if Lucien's on the up and up, and is everything he says about being a friend to Klaus true? Or is manipulative and full of lies? Klaus wants nothing more than to get to the bottom of those mysteries. I think it gives him a proper focus. How will the show be playing with the serial killer storyline?
It's definitely an ongoing incident. I think for Cami (Leah Pipes), the coincidence that innocent bodies are dropping the same week Klaus' old friend comes to town is a little bit too big to ignore. So it puts her on a mission of who this new person is and why he's in their town. Flashbacks played heavily in the premiere. How much can you utilize that device going forward, since only Morgan and Daniel Gillies (Elijah) are series regulars?
We actually are fairly flashback-heavy in the first half, in that there are three episodes that tell a nice rich story about the past. In a lot of ways we're telling the origin stories of these new characters, in addition to telling of a time when the Originals were brand new and didn't understand the depth of their own power and had to figure out how to survive — these raggedy, Viking, kid runaways [to evolve] into the posh, rich family they are today. Freya (Riley Voelkel) is a newer addition to the family. How is she holding up with the turmoil?
Freya was just barely welcomed with half-opened arms … she's on precarious ground in her own mind — she made a commitment to Rebekah: let me take care of this family, let me be the big sister for a while, so that's what she's doing. She's trying to be mediator between the boys who haven't been getting along for months. She's trying to keep the harmony in this family dynamic. She'll realize soon she needs to find her own way, but not without getting into a heap of trouble, attached to the Mikaelson family and also the new enemies in town. Where is Aurora (Rebecca Breeds) headed this season?
Aurora is just a ball of crazy, God bless her. Aurora is deeply bonded with her brother, who is not a nice person. She struggles with her own emotional demons. She believes herself to be wildly, psychologically cursed. In fact, she is quite disturbed. But she also has a massive, massive heart that loves deeply, and obsessively. And so as we learn more about her history with the Originals family and specifically Klaus, we'll start to see what that means. www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/originals-season-3-spoilers-julie-830485

Julie Plec blogs the season 3 premiere of The Originals
The Mikaelson family is extremely complicated, and who better to untangle that drama than Julie Plec? The Originals showrunner will blog each week’s installment throughout the season exclusively for EW. From answering burning questions to giving behind-the-scenes stories and more, this is a place for fans to hear directly from Plec about the episode they just watched. (She will also be keeping a weekly diary for The Vampire Diaries; read her thoughts on the season 7 premiere here.) For the first entry, we gave Plec five burning topics/questions to discuss in regards to the season 3 premiere: The cage-fighting
It’s so great. A lot of times when you’re a writer on a show you seek out your actors’ special skills over the years — somebody knows how to sing or play an instrument, you try to find clever ways to write that in. Well Daniel [Gillies] has been hitting the boxing gyms pretty fiercely since the beginning of the series. In fact, one of our writers, Declan [de Barra], fights, [and] that’s how they met before the show even started — Declan was training at the same gym as Daniel. It’s been fun to integrate that into our New Orleans universe. And for Marcel to be able to have his own space where he can vet future vampires and make sure that they’re strong of hearts and minds and body before he gets them into this mess is really important too. Those flashbacks
It’s funny because when we were talking about what flashbacks to do and what era to set them in, we talked about everything that we’ve already done over all the centuries and we collectively realized that we had never told the story of how they became who they are. We told the story of how they became Originals but not how they went from the backwoods of 9th century undiscovered New World into the posh worldly European kings and queens that they are. So we wanted to start them from nothing and tell the story of how they became refined and creative and all those wonderful things. This was our way of doing that. Lucien’s, er, smile
What Lucien’s doing to self-mutilate ties into his backstory, how he became a vampire, and how he was put down by those who were of better stature than he. He definitely was a victim of cruelty. He scars himself again and again to make sure he never forgets where he came from. Believe it or not, it’s called a Glasgow smile. Aurora’s final scene
I think if anything this tea up of Aurora is telling the audience: 1. That she is still in the picture. 2. It’s meant to make us wonder, what’s wrong with her? She seems a little off-kilter. We just caught a quick glimpse of her in the flashbacks and there are many more episodes to come in which we dig much deeper into her backstory and understand her volatility, her demons, and how ultimately she and perhaps one of our Original siblings might be very well suited to each other, at least in a beautiful, destructive way. This is just a little tease of what’s to come for her. The possibility of present-day Rebekah
We get to see a nice smattering of flashback Rebekah this season and we do get to see a good visit with her in the present day. Obviously we like to time our Rebekah visits for Christmas. It’s like our tradition, so fans can look forward to seeing her bring in the Yuletide cheer. www.ew.com/article/2015/10/08/originals-season-3-premiere-julie-plec-blog

The Originals’: Julie Plec on New, But Old, Killers
CW’s “The Originals” returns for Season 3 with just as much family strife and vampire-witch feuding as fans would expect. And to make matters worse, now there’s a serial killer on the loose. As the series prepares to show more vampires descending upon New Orleans to protect their lineage (and possibly stomp out some old threats as well), executive producer and creator Julie Plec talks to Variety about the dangers that await our blood-thristy heroes. So there’s a serial killer on the loose in New Orleans. Have the writers settled on who the killer is?
Yes. We have figured out [who that is] and I think it’s pretty safe to say that with the arrival of vicious, crazy people in town the odds of someone taking a knife across someone’s cheekbones are pretty strong. We saw that at the end of the episode, but I didn’t know if that was a red herring.
It could well be. We shall have to see. You also have a new detective this season, played by “Veronica Mars” alum Jason Dohring, who seems blissfully oblivious to all the supernatural activities in town.
Every now and then when our humans get too deeply in the know, we like to open up the world to humans who don’t know they are living in a supernatural crockpot. Detective Will Kinney is one of the people who is maybe rightfully suspicious and maybe confused in what he finds. But it is New Orleans, after all. There’s a seedy side to the alleyways and around the corner, regardless, with the supernatural beings. Even when you go visit, there’s vampire tours and tarot card readers and alleged witches. For him, he’s trying to figure out what’s real and what’s not. There’s no way he’s a pawn in all this and he’s just been compelled to forget what he knows?
We should ask ourselves what he’s been exposed to in the past and if anybody’s compelled his memories away. It’s just fun to see somebody who isn’t really in the loop yet and how they react to things. Or he’s totally playing us like Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) did on “The Vampire Diaries.” Can we talk about the character of Rebekah this season? We see her in the flashback in the season premiere in her original form, as played by actress Claire Holt, but fans know that’s not how Rebekah is living today.
At the end of last season, Rebekah left town in the body of Eva Sinclair (played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers) to go off and live up to the promise she made to her brother Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and find a spell that would bring him back to life. We get to see Claire Holt in the flashbacks at the beginning of the season. I can tease that we will be seeing Claire Holt as Rebekah before the fall is over. Will Elijah (Daniel Gillies) ever get closure after all the anguish his brother Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has put upon him — particularly after last season’s death?
I think the good thing about Elijah and his resentment toward Klaus and his frustration with the family dynamic — and generally his fury attached to his current standing in life — will come in handy as these new enemies reveal themselves. The children have come back to town to punish their parents. Klaus, at least, seems to be very selective about who he chooses to make his children.
We want to be very specific about who turns who and why. Over the course of the season, we’ll have nice flashback episodes that tell us more about some of these new — but old — vampires. variety.com/2015/tv/news/the-originals-season-3-julie-plec-klaus-elijah-1201614047/

The Originals Premiere: EP Talks Klaus and Cami's Hurdle, Hayley's Surprising Return and That Twisted Prophecy
TVLine got the scoop on the premiere’s (multiple) unfortunate twists from executive producer Julie Plec, but first, a quick recap: Klaus’ old pal/sire Lucien arrived in New Orleans with a surprise for his maker, a horrific prophecy about a “beast” that will lead to the Mikaelsons’ downfall. Klaus turned to Cami for comfort, but when his “therapist” rebuffed his advances, he took his aggression out on an unsuspecting art critic. Meanwhile, Vincent and Cami worked with a new detective (hello, Jason Dohring!) to solve a string of ritualistic murders; Davina gave human Hayley a suspicious ultimatum, while Elijah feared the worst; Marcel converted the church into a supernatural fight club for his vampire recruits; and another shadow from the Mikaelsons’ past received some unsettling news. Below, Plec makes sense of Cami and Klaus’ complicated romance, previews Lucien’s (potentially) evil shenanigans and gives us a peek at Hayley’s future with… eh, you should probably just read it for yourself: TVLINE | Cami and Klaus seem to have switched roles; he’s opening up to her and she’s pushing him away. What does their future hold?I think their future holds some emotional exploration. For Klaus, it’s so funny, he can’t even admit he’s in therapy — he has to call it their “little chats.” But in this time when everyone’s a little mad at him, he actually thinks she’s his rock, so she has to remind him that just because she’s supportive of him as a person, that doesn’t necessarily mean she condones his actions. If he acts out or does anything that she finds dishonorable, she’s going to hold him to it and call him out. TVLINE | Speaking of acting out, the episode ended with him ripping that guy apart in the alley.[Laughs] He sure did! Cami’s words really wounded him, and when Klaus is wounded, he reverts back to that little boy who acts out and kicks and screams. In vampire language, that translates to ripping off the limbs of a nasty art critic. TVLINE | Should we be worried about him going off the rails again?I don’t think Klaus ever specifically goes off the rails. He’s pretty deliberate in the choices that he makes, though he sometimes lets his emotions and temper get the best of him. I’d call this a temper tantrum and leave it at that for now. TVLINE | I’m very intrigued by Alexis. Can you say anything about that “beast” we saw briefly in her vision? All the visions and things that make up the prophecy that she delivers to Klaus will continue to have a presence in the future. Our characters are going to try very hard to ignore, then change, the outcome of what Alexis saw in her mind. But the prophecy, which will become much clearer in the next episode, will hang heavily over them for most of the season. TVLINE | It seems like Lucien has, or at least hopes to have, a strong influence over Klaus. What’s that dynamic going to lead to?Lucien’s like that little sidekick that buzzes around, and sometimes he makes you laugh, but other times you want to swat him. He’ll live up to that very nicely. He owes Klaus a lot, and with Klaus being his sire, he certainly doesn’t want any harm to come to him. But there’s history there we’ll learn more of as we get deeper into the season. We’ll have flashbacks that tell more of Lucien’s story and what his backstory is with Klaus. We’ll understand there’s some resentment and drama in the past to be hashed out. TVLINE | Pardon this question, because it might be stupid — but in that last scene with Aurora, was that letter the same one Freya had written for Rebekah? Did she intercept it?No, she was just getting a message from someone on the outside who was telling her something she did not like. Speaking of temper tantrums, Aurora is the queen of throwing a good one. TVLINE | I loved seeing Hayley back in human form. What can you tease about her deal with Davina? It’s a little bit of an unconventional agreement. Davina, in trying to assert her own power, realizes that she needs something equally powerful to back up her words. She’s recruiting the beast, so to speak, in order to provide protection and martial law as she deals with these renegade witches. TVLINE | Are we going to delve into where Hayley’s heart really lies? She’s a touchy subject, because I feel like everyone wants her to be with someone different.I think we know where her heart lies, but the complicated thing is that as much as she’s deeply bonded with Elijah, she made a commitment to Jackson that was born both out of obligation and — ultimately — out of love. It’s possible to have feelings for two people at once, so she’ll continue to struggle with being torn between her two emotional obligations: her connection to the Mikaelson family and her connection to Jackson and the wolves. She’ll find herself caught in the middle of that quite a lot. TVLINE | Lastly, I love Jason Dohring, so I’m glad you snatched him up. Is there more to his character than what we saw in the premiere? He seems more straight-laced than I expected.I wouldn’t say he’s totally straight-laced as much as he just takes his job very seriously. What’s nice about Detective Kinney is that he seems to be very much on the up. Those human characters are refreshing, the ones that aren’t aware of the whole supernatural community, yet seem to have a nose for mystery and can sense when something doesn’t add up. He’s going to be a thorn in Cami’s side because he’s going to sense, very quickly, that she knows more than she’s letting on. tvline.com/2015/10/08/the-originals-hayley-returns-klaus-kills-season-3-premiere-spoilers/

The Originals' Jason Dohring on Playing Human ('We'll See How Long I Stay'), Will's Possible Romance With Cami
After portraying an immortal bloodsucker on the cult fave Moonlight, Jason Dohring is going back to basics as The Originals‘ Detective Will Kinney, a human role that may cause pause for concern. Given the nature of the CW series (decapitations are pretty much the norm) and Will’s close relationship with Cami (aka the object of werewolf/vampire hybrid Klaus’ affections), it’s no wonder that Dohring is a little apprehensive about his character’s fate on the show (airing Thursday at 9/8c). Below, the actor talks about Will’s life expectancy, his “attraction” to Cami and the CW drama he wants to appear on next. TVLINE | Does it feel weird being on a supernatural show and not playing a vampire?Yeah. I remember drinking that blood, and it was just…not the best. At the same time, it’s fun because you get to do all the cool stuff like fly around — at least our vampires were flying and s–t. Usually, they live the high life — driving Ferraris and having loads of money and being in people’s faces and just not caring. So this is very different because you have a much more strict set of rules and limits to who your character can be. TVLINE | What are you enjoying about portraying a human on a supernatural show?I enjoy the detective element of it because there are certain guidelines to the character. A detective can’t be “blah” or whatever. He’s just had training. Coming out of being on shows where I was kid and a spoiled brat, to find roles that are like a teacher [such as on Ringer], it’s just been cool because it’s more acting rather instead of emotional-based. There’s different characters features that are interesting to play with. TVLINE | We see a little bit of Will at work in the premiere, but not too much. What kind of a detective is he? A by-the-book type? Does he bend the rules? All police officers, good ones, bend the rules a little bit and in life, too. He’s smart, confident [and] wants to find out what’s going on after he discovers this serial string of murders. In the future episodes, he winds up getting more pulled into the supernatural world. He’s determined to figure it out, so he winds up in this terrifying situation. TVLINE | There are a lot people in positions of power on the show who do know what’s going on. How much does he know about the supernatural? He doesn’t know about the supernatural world, but he has suspicions that something is going on beneath the city. He enlists the help of Cami and Vincent, who’s a friend from before, a confidant, and he knows about the occult, so [Will] pulls him in to find out more about it. He suspects that he’s not being told everything, ’cause he’s a detective. So he goes, “That’s true, but there’s something else you’re not saying. What is it?” They don’t want to reveal what’s really going on. TVLINE | Almost every character on the show has some deep, dark tragic history or secret. Does that also apply to Will?I guess I’ve thought of things. It’s always weird to introduce a character. That’s probably the hardest thing to do is your first couple scenes because you have to build this memory of the character so it doesn’t look hollow. I tried to do that. TVLINE | But he’s not hiding anything on screen so far?No, not really. I just gave it a couple things in my head to make it interesting or dramatic for me. TVLINE | How would you describe the dynamic between him and Cami?It seems like it could be straight-by-the-book — help and a romance sort of thing. But there is this aspect of when you’re trying to figure out something and you’re not being told the full truth by that [other] person. There’s that aspect where she doesn’t want me to find out too much. She wants to help mostly for herself to figure out what is going on. I have clues, I have the conventional data that’s being gathered and stuff like that, and she has the bulk of the behind-the-scenes. [We’re] working together, but neither one maybe wants to give away all their cards. TVLINE | Is there romance for Will, possibly with Cami? There’s certainly an attraction. He respects her right from the start… She’s smart and she’s not one to be messed with. They’re both good people and they connect. TVLINE | He’s spending a lot of time with her, which I have to imagine does not sit well with Klaus.Right, exactly. So we’ll see how long I stay. [Laughs] TVLINE | Do you worry about your life expectancy, playing a human?I know that they’re food, right, essentially. Disposable. But as long as the story can be moved forward with purpose that this character might introduce, if you’re contributing, then it’s cool. TVLINE | You’ve now done The Originals, Ringer, Supernatural and The Tomorrow People. Is there a CW show left that you want to guest-star on?Oh, man, let’s see… We were talking about iZombie at some point. TVLINE | Rob Thomas mentioned to me you were emailing about a role before you were cast on The Originals. Is there a particular type of character you’d like to play on that show? Zombie or human?I guess zombie, right, because that’s more character. Detective zombie. [Laughs] tvline.com/2015/10/14/the-originals-season-3-spoilers-jason-dohring-detective-will-cami/#more-649822

SPOILER:
Are Cami and Kinney going to become an item on The Originals? — SharonDon’t forget that Cami is still dealing with her “complicated feelings” for a particular monster, but that being said, never say never. Leah Pipes assured my colleague Samantha Highfill that we’ll be seeing more of the duo soon. “It’s nice for Cami to meet someone with solid morals,” Pipes says. But, “Like all relationships, it’s not happily ever after. Everyone’s a suspect and it’s complicated, and New Orleans is not a safe place to be. They’re not instant best friends and braiding each other’s hair, but there’s definitely something there.” www.ew.com/article/2015/10/23/spoiler-room-flash-walking-dead-castle-spoilers

SPOILER:
Is Kol ever coming back on The Originals? — VanessaDon’t worry, no one has forgotten about present-day Kol. Not only is Rebekah still off trying to find a way to bring him back, but there’s another woman who could play a role in his potential return. “[Kol] was the first person who got her,” Danielle Campbell says of Davina. And although Davina thinks her last chance of bringing him back was taken from her, Campbell adds, “I don’t see her stopping if something comes up. I easily see her rushing toward it.” Here’s hoping she puts that regent power to good use. www.ew.com/article/2015/10/30/spoiler-room-supergirl-htgawm-once-upon-time-spoilers

SPOILER:
Question: Loving the new “ambiguous characters” on The Originals, Tristan and Lucien. Any scoop on them, or anything TO related? —AddieAusiello: He’s not one of the characters you mentioned, Addie, but I’d say Jason Dohring’s Will Kinney remains at least somewhat “ambiguous,” and it sounds like his storyline’s about to get a lot more interesting — especially once he starts “making connections” and getting deeper into the Big Easy’s supernatural community. “He just winds up in a real bad place, like, real bad,” the actor says, referring to one particularly nasty scene with a certain bloodsucker. “We were exhausted after shooting. Compulsions and violence, [it was] gruesome.” tvline.com/2015/11/05/arrow-who-dies-season-4-spoilers/

Haley Ramm joins The Originals as new witch Ariane
With a large number of Mikaelson progenies coming into town on this season of The Originals, it only seems fair that New Orleans gets another witch. And that’s precisely what it will get when Ariane hits the town. EW can exclusively reveal that Haley Ramm, formerly on Chasing Life, is set to recur as Ariane, a powerful, ethereal witch from a coven that practices a dangerous type of dark magic. Furthermore, Ariane is described as being eerily smart, quietly confident, and occasionally creepy. (In other words, she’ll fit right in.) Much like our beloved Davina, Ariane is a young witch whose power is not to be taken lighty. She will first appear in episode 311. www.ew.com/article/2015/11/05/the-originals-haley-ramm-ariane?hootPostID=9a62f360c3c5c89d324e6413d7201dc4
