The cure to vampirism has resurfaced on The Vampire Diaries, but will Elena take it as part of her exit from the series? All signs point to yes. When the show returns Thursday (8/7c, The CW), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will keep secret the fact that Bonnie (Kat Graham) brought him that little vial. But when he and Elena discuss their future, Damon realizes it's time to admit that those hypothetical plans they made could now become a reality. Naturally, Elena balks at the opportunity to become human again, until Damon proposes (in a swoon-worthy scene) an idea -- one that mirrors Elena's in Season 4 -- that she'll find hard to refuse.www.tvguide.com/news/mega-buzz-vampire-diaries-elena-cure/Before Lily turned him, what was their relationship like?
Well, he was basically dying of tuberculosis, and he's trying to get on this passenger ship to New York, which apparently has this doctor on board who claims he can cure tuberculosis. He meets Lily literally on the docks as he's trying to board the ship. He's having trouble getting on, and she takes pity on him, and helps him board the ship, and makes these promises to him, and ends up turning him. He's just met her at that moment, so there's no relationship before [he's a vampire].www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/vampire-diaries-michael-malarkey-enzo-788901

Stefan’s reign of terror might have ended on Thursday’s Vampire Diaries, but Caroline’s dehumanized shenanigans are far from over.
“Caroline will certainly leave a path of destruction in her wake; her danger knows no bounds,” executive producer Caroline Dries tells TVLine, which is particularly disturbing to hear after this week’s series of unfortunate events. (Is there anything more heinous than putting Matt Donovan in mortal danger? … I didn’t think so.)
The former Miss Mystic Falls will be back to her old self by the end of the month, though it’s unclear how her lapse in judgment will affect her future with Stefan. Per The CW, the May 7 episode finds Caroline coming to “a realization about her and Stefan’s prospects of being together.”
“When all is said and done, the queen of stress cleaning will have some work to do,” Dries adds. “Once she comes down from this violent streak, her humanity will return and we’ll recognize her again.”
This is especially good news as we look towards Season 7; with Nina Dobrev’s exit now just four episodes away, Caroline is essentially becoming the show’s main female protagonist. (We love you, Bonnie, but it’s not called The Witch Diaries.)

Chrissy: With Michael Trevino leaving TVD, will we get to see a goodbye of some kind between Tyler and Caroline?
Remember Forwood?! Memories, huh? "Michael [Trevino] and I do have some scenes coming up. We're going to be reminded of the journey that they've had up to this point," Candice Accola teases. "It's just very real. It was a very honest moment between the characters. It was just very simple and honest of where these characters are at this point in their lives."
Seamus: So glad we finally got to learn more about Enzo on TVD. But is he going to hook up with Damon's mom?! That's exactly the question the show wants you to be asking about Enzo and Lily (Lilenzo?). "You're not quite sure where the relationship is going to go. It could lead to a number of things," Michael Malarkey says. "We've intentionally left that open. There's moments in upcoming episodes where you see real chemistry real there, where you think, ‘Oh maybe it could be something more than just friendship.' We've left the door open." As for how Damon will react to his mom and his BFF's connection? "We don't explore it too much, but I'm sure we're going to be delving more into it in season seven. It's briefly touched upon, but not really enough to comment on

I balk at the idea they use the word swoon-worthy to describe Damon and Elena scenes anymore. They are awkward. This season isn't sounding like it is getting any better this episode either.

I confess this Delena stuff still makes me gag. But sometimes I enjoy it more after the season is over.

Her visions were with Stefan and although she was with Damon at that time she still called it paradise. Maybe she never stopped loving Stefan either. It's ok to love them both, remember? "An idea that mirrors Elena's in Season 4" ... that could be the visions she had with Stefan. Maybe they'll get the 2nd cure and they'll offer it to Stefan?

I like how in the video Elena sees Damon as both Matt (working in a bar as Damon pointed out) and Stefan (pouring her wine and massaging her feet). I didn't hear any proposals to sit down after a long day and watch Damon guzzle bourbon, ask for sex or whatever is less "boring" than Elena's fantasy life. Don't think these two are on the same page any longer.
