I might watch this episode because everybody is saying that it was good and, you know, little Stefan Without watching it yet, I get the feeling that the writers are achieving their goal: People who shipped SE, are finally giving up on Elena and SE. yes I came to a point where I thought I can either continue to feel sad about Stelena or move on and see if I can try to find some joy from what the show offers. And without thinking about what happened with Stelena I think Steroline can be a good lovestory. I just fear that the minute I give in to it and like it they will turn it completely into something bad. Like they tend to do with everything that starts cute. I bet Mama Salvatore will be the next bad villain and there will be no emotional happy reunion at all I haven't moved on from Stelena and I still loved this episode because it was a great episode. JP knocked one out of the park with this one.

I LOVED this episode. That's what TVD used to be. Now that I don't care about Elena anymore Delena doesn't bother me so much. This scene in the kitchen was even nice to watch. Since season 1 I have been hoping to see Mama Salvatore. I cannot tell you how excited I am. I just hope they will not make her evil. A happy reunion with her sons would be soooooo cool. I loved Elena in this episode. That was the old Elena again. She cared about her friend and was there for her although Damon was available for a quickie all the time. Nope she wasn't his bedbunny this time but showed that there is still the old Elena inside. I hope this will last now. Steroline... well I don't know what to think. The kiss last episode was so nice. I really felt for them. But everything that came after... I don't know... it took Stefan so long to realize he has feelings for her but it looks like it's just a little glimpse instead of a burning fire. Doesn't look epic to me. But I am open to be convinced by a good storyline. I never really cared about Bamon. I always prefered Damon with Bonnie but I didn't care much. This episode really made me ship Bamon. How cute was that reunion? Just the kiss was missing. I hope this is going somewhere. And Alaric and Joe getting married and having a baby came as a rare surprise. Looking forward to a great wedding with lots of emotions. I think these last 2 episodes brought real emotions back to TVD. That's what I was missing. I can live without Stelena now but I cannot live without real emotions. No more hot sex please. Show feelings if you want to let us feel them. I might watch this episode because everybody is saying that it was good and, you know, little Stefan Without watching it yet, I get the feeling that the writers are achieving their goal: People who shipped SE, are finally giving up on Elena and SE. It was a great episode but you have to consider that this is in comparison to all the crappy episodes we've had recently. So don't expect an amazing episode compared to s1-3 but great considering what they've been serving us lately.

I felt a lot of sympathy for Alaric in that moment. When he was all "I never thought I'd have this", because it's true; he fricking died! He never thought he'd live again, let alone have a girlfriend that he loves and a child (or children twins) However, while it wasn't entirely OOC what he did and Jo is cute... I'm with you. I feel like it wasn't time. On the bright side (for me as a Jeremy fan), this must be the wedding Steven and JP hinted at when saying that Jer could come back for funerals, weddings, series finales. I'm inclined to think the wedding will happen in the series finale. Perhaps the Red Wedding TVD style. Don't get me wrong, I totally happy for Alaric. And I don't necessary think anything was OOC...its just there was no on screen build up to this point. Alaric has barely had screen time let alone with Jo to justify the emotional moment between the 2 characters. We have had NO story exposition to really set that up ...everything was left for us to assume this relationship blossomed to this dramatic point off camera. Leaving any casual viewer scratching their head, and us die hards accessing our previous memories of Alaric and being happy for him based off of that, but nothing they have done on screen this season built to that pay off. Too much, too soon. And because of the lack of exposition these moments to me do not feel earned. Does that make sense? Absolutely. I feel ya. I accidentally spoiled on the Jolaric engagement/pregnancy before I even watched the episode and my first reaction was; " What? So soon??!" And when I actually watched the episode, my opinion didn't change. It was cute, but not earned.

I cant even comment on the craziness of this show anymore why is damon giving a eulogy really ??
Then elena and damon she has no memory of him yet the way she acts its as if there all back. I think the writing is so bad the actors dont know how to portray this relationship.
Stefen and caroline I thought wow they are doing pretty well up until stefen falling for her. Omg seriously stop if you dont feel it
I enjoyed the neckcrack and bamon
predictably called matt being a cop but I am with the girl who does the recaps ha tyler being a cop really lol. I just feel this show is no longer exciting nor does it logically make sense. Elena being a friend to caroline well where has this been.

JP knocked one out of the park with this one. There were a lot of feels in this episode. I threw away my reserve with abandon and felt them all, even with Stefan's dawning recognition of his feels for Caroline. Now I feel almost as though I ate a bit too much candy. Of course it all went askew for old Stefan. Poor guy, really. I mean, every woman he has ever loved has flipped off her humanity switch. For someone so fit and gorgeous, his luck in love should really have surpassed my own. But no! To your point, I feel it is pretty much impossible that all these ships can hold for 29 more episodes. Hell's bells. It is possible that Damon was actually right in his advice to Stefan the first time.

Seriously you guys! One of the BEST episodes of TVD ever. That scene in Caroline's mom's house at the end of the episode... OMG. Caroline is the moral center of this show. What happens when her OCD controlfreakiness no longer has her conscience to control it??
Yikes! Can't wait for more!!!

She had total control over everything, and it felt natural... unlike "turn it off", which, despite its dramatics, was decidedly unnatural and out of Elena's control. This was a much better version of a vampire turning off its humanity. And Candice knocked it out of the ball park too. Great acting by her.

Throw Alaric in there, too. yeah and throw in Doctor WHO as well, he can save the world quite effectively each time (best it be David Tennant or Chris Eccleston) I miss my sweet boy Jeremy already...and what a stupid timing for Bon to come back, ey? Jer left and one episode later Bon is back, duh !!! I would call the spinoff "Police Academy" undertitle "The Day of The Vampire"

Am I on the right forum? Delena cute? Steroline tolerable? Must be opposite day.Just kidding, found the episode to be mildly entertaining. Liked the Kai interactions with Alaric and Jo. Liked Matts part in the episode. Caroline had some good moments especially with Elena.Disliked Stefan throughout the whole episode, starting to bore me to be honest. He has a pointless storyline and is really unimportant to the whole scope of the story. Damon is the star of the show, gets the best lines, most character developmet and growth. Liked him in this episode, his scenes with Stefan were good. He dominates the scenes with Stefan now. Stefan was equal to Damon before, now Damon has the last word in every conversation and comes across as the main hero or protagonist in the story in my point of view. Glad Bonnie is back, hopefully the mama Salvatore storyline is a good one. Tried to not sound so bitter.....failed...Cheers guys! Damon is getting character development and growth this season, which makes sense after dying and living in the prison world. He's not a one-note character whose experiences don't change him. I found it notable his advice to Stefan turned out to be wrong and Stefan realized it, albeit a little late. Damon also helped push Caroline toward her decision for no humanity with his tip that it was only going to get worse after the funeral. So growth, yes, but the hero? Not yet. Many people are chatting about Stefan having no story this season, no development, acting bored, etc. I honestly don't see him that way. He acted different, less connected to his emotions when he thought Damon and Lexi were gone forever. He was very removed & very persistent in running away from his life. Stefan's not front and center like Damon but only because he's trying to find a path separate from Damon, from Elena, from running away, and that means he's not the guy everyone turns to in a crisis anymore. I think that's great! I mean, it's growth to realize he can find love with someone who isn't also in love with his brother!!

It occurs to me that, tho slight, perhaps Mama Salvatore, like Bonnie, was saved by, rather than sentenced to,the prison world solution?
I am going to pursue the other lines of speculation raised by 6x15 over in Season Six Theories.
