Last night's episode was awesome!!! I don't even know where to start. I loved the scenes between Klaus, Kol & Rebekah. Talk about a messed up family. The Kol & Klaus conversation was kinda heartbreaking really. Kol realizes he's dying and wants help, but when Klaus finds out what he'd been up to before and loses it you really can't blame him for not trusting him. But when all is said and done they realize that they have to find a way to trust each other if they're going to beat Finn. I loved how Kol complained about always being daggered and Klaus says “I’ve daggered all of you!” I really loved to see that they were finally able to put all there anger/betrayal for each other aside and work together. I really hope they can find a way to save him. Can they turn him into a vampire or is he still cursed to die no matter what? I remember that when Kieran had the hex put on him, even though he was turned into a vampire he was still going crazy. The only way for him to find relief was to kill him. What is the deal with Freya? I'm not sure what to make of her yet? Do you think she might actually be Dahlia? Why was she so desperate to find Hope? I sometimes wonder if Jackson is too good to be true? How bad ass was Elijah!!!! More please!!! That last scene was literally explosive, but I have a question.. Didn't they establish in TVD that Originals don't need daylight rings to walk in the sun, so why does Elijah now burn in the sun?? Is Finn really gone? I hope so! He was a witch/human so I don't see how he could've survived that explosion. I thought for sure it was going to be Kol to die because of the spoiler I had posted previously and also because they made Yusuf a regular. One of the siblings would die by the other's hand. Well Finn did die by Elijah's hand literally! What is up with baby Hope!!! What exactly is she? Hybrid, vampire, wolf, witch? Whatever she is, I wouldn't mess with that baby! So jennifer what did you think? I love this reviewer!! Her comments about Elijah are You can tell she's a fan! www.ew.com/recap/the-originals-season-2-episode-13

Agreed wednesday, amazing episode. I haven't really been a die hard TO fan, truth be told, but I was alternately squealing, laughing and crying during this episode! "This family makes me want to murder people!" has to be one of Klaus's best lines ever. His confrontation with Kol was incredible--I think Daniel Sharman's performance was superb. Loved everyone working together--reminded me of the TVD glory days *sniff*.... Freya was creepy and perfectly cast I think... And I like new Rebekah, she's got the necessary strength and spirit. Elijah was perfect as always, and that baby just about killed me with her delicious face!

Although I do enjoy the show, Elijah is what keeps me coming back week after week! He was what got me to watch in the first place considering it was love at first sight for me when he was on TVD! To me this was one of the best episodes of the season. I just wish the ratings had been better. I'm really liking the new Rebekah as well. She does have Claire's sassiness. I like Daniel too. I was a fan of his when he was on Teen Wolf. Do you think they'll be able to save Kol? And what about the whole Elijah not needing the daylight ring to walk in the sun? They established that in TVD if I recall, didn't they? It's been forever since I've watched any of those episodes.

Like I said, I haven't really been too excited about this show thus far. Not enough romance, if you ask me, and not really enough Elijah lately to make up for that! But this episode impressed me! I haven't seen Teen Wolf, sadly, but when it's on Netflix in Canada I plan to. I don't know how they'll save Kol, but I really hope they do bc I'm starting to love him! Someone on a comments board suggested that they'll turn him into a vampire, so maybe that? I thought Elijah still needed his ring, but only because he would burn without it, not die b/c he can't die. Have you seen him without it? Never thought I'd like Hayley, but she's growing on me too. What worked so well in this episode was the group teaming up, it's always so exciting when they do that, same with TVD. Too bad it doesn't happen very often anymore :(

I loved that line of Klaus' too, amimi. It pretty much sums up his life. This was one action-packed episode, and I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. Kudos to casting for Bekah, Kol and Freya. I'm not completely sold on Finn because his personality is so different, but I like this character better, so The barn scene!! That was incredible with the cuts of Cami & Hope driving toward the house mixed in with the fight. So the consensus is Hope healed her own wound and it wasn't the effect of Elijah giving her blood? I didn't believe Elijah would do that with Hope in danger. Another great scene: Kol, Bekah and Klaus breaking the connection between Finn & their parents. Solidarity for a greater good. So much to like! A few thoughts from your post wednesday: Freya: Either up to no good or bewitched. Maybe Dahlia's brainwashed her all these years as a third option. Jackson: I think he's truly that good. Exciting and dangerous enough for Haley? Not likely! Looks like Klaus has his number anyway. I'm just waiting for next ep. to see how it all plays out. Elijah: Bad ass!!! I didn't understand the daylight ring either. i remember an interview with JP saying that basically they weren't carrying over everything from TVD, there would be changes for different reasons. Her point was she didn't want new fans to have to know the mythology. It works better for the daylight rings to be necessary in TO because of the parallel to the moonlight rings. That's my only guess as to why the daylight rings.

amimi I agree there hasn't been enough Elijah for my liking either. I suspect that might have something to do with Daniel also filming Saving Hope? Trying to give him a bit of a break with his scenes? If that's the case I think he should drop that show and stay with TO full time! I can't help it, I love Elijah and I'm selfish that way! He's my favorite on the show! Oh TW is a good show. It does have some romance, but it's more character driven which is great! The thing I love the most about it is everyone works together and all of the kids have their parents unlike another show you watch. I hope you enjoy it when you get around to it. It's one of my favorites!! I was wondering the same thing about them turning Kol into a vampire, but it made me think about Kieran. He turned into a vamp, but it didn't stop him from going crazy because of the hex so I'm not sure how that's going to work? From the new producer's preview the way everyone is talking they make it seem like Finn is still alive!!!! How is that possible!!! He is human and he blew up in an explosion!!! I guess jennifer is right and they may have changed some of the mythology of the show. It was never really specifically pointed out about their daylight rings on TVD. We just knew that fire couldn't kill them. No I've never seen him without him or at least not that I can remember. I was never a fan of Hayley on TVD so she really grew on me when she came to TO. I especially like her with Elijah. My favorite thing about this show is when all the siblings are working together. When Klaus and Elijah are on the same side they seem unstoppable so it was nice to see the others join in this time to help Klaus. I've warmed up to Daniel as Kol even though I was quite fond of Nathaniel. He was a mini version of Klaus & he looks so much like Daniel Gillies you could almost believe they were really brothers. The 4 original actors had such an instant bond that just really worked and I miss that with Clare and Nathaniel, but I think they did a good job with the recasts now. I like Freya and am curious to see where this will go. From all the pics it looks like they're really going through with the wedding!! I wonder how this will affect everyone especially Hayley and Elijah. Jackson may be a really nice guy and love Hayley, but she's not in love with him. Monday will certainly be interesting!!!!

I'm coming in late on TO's season 2. Only just watching it now because it's not been shown for ages where I live great episode, love love love Elijah also as he's one of my faves from TVD. Watching him "work like a normal man" banging the nail in and then just sorta go bugger it and bang it with vampire strength was sort of comical. Watching Elijah blow up Finn was awesome. And on a side note I actually feel for Kol. They've developed him a not better on TO compared to TVD obviously and I'm hoping he doesn't die so I'm not skipping ahead in any of the threads on here!
