Eh, so one more season. My interest in the show was on the rocks (wet, slippery rocks) but I can hang for another 10 episodes. ...can't say I'm sad given how miss the show has been for me.

MATT DAVIS FANS!!
CSI Exclusive: Vampire Diaries' Matt Davis Joins Season 14 in Recurring Role
CSI is resurrecting Alaric.
Vampire Diaries vet Matt Davis is joining the venerable CBS procedural’s fourteenth season in a recurring role. Davis, last seen in The CW’s short-lived Cult, will play a smart, athletic and competitive son of a decorated fireman. While on the surface outgoing, he is deep down a bit of a loner, with the soul of a poet and the mind of a mathematician.
His first episode airs in late October.
Davis’ casting comes as CSI is set to lose original castmember George Eads for a handful of episodes following an on-set altercation with a writer.
CSI opens its new season on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Not really a Batman fan...I'm sure of it. Although he's probably the DC character I'm most familiar with and grew up with, I'm just kind of sick of him and how he's propped up in the comics. He's got problems with his own city and gallery of villains, keeping them in Arkham and I'm to believe he can handle the villains of Superman or Wonder Woman? In the JL cartoon, he apparently wasn't an official/full-time member which was nice cause he seemed to play the role I expected of him (support/intel) but to see someone like Darkseid knock him around and not leave him a broken mess (Darkseid later goes toe-to-toe with both Superman and Supergirl and they go all out)?
I just hate how DC props him up in the 'upper echelon' and how they keep shoving him on us (him and Supes). Arrow is great and I'm interested in seeing how Flash turns out but I'm tired of the Bats/Supes related stuff. Green Lantern fell on it's face for WB/DC but where is Wonder Woman? Dr. Fate? The Question? It's sad that Marvel is throwing the Guardians on the big screen when Wonder Woman, one of the Big 3 for DC, has yet to get her own movie. Hell, Ant Man is getting a movie. Marvel is pretty much stretching their legs now with what they do since they've established their universe and can expand on it in 2 more directions with SHIELD (the smaller stuff) and Guardians (Cosmic stuff).
YES I'M ANGRY. I'm a way bigger Marvel fan but I've been running through the DC stuff on Netflix and would like to see a movie universe for them get the right treatment. Arrow is doing it right.

Alrighty then! My bad! I knew you didn't like Superman, didn't realize Batman was among the group too! I would like to see something with Wonder Woman as well! She's so underrated.

It's really just those 2 on DC's side and that's mainly cause how they're presented and the oversaturation. Flash is being regulated to a TV show and Wonder Woman is playing in that park too but they can't seem to nail anything down for her at all. I don't know if it's just the material not clicking or what.
The thing is, DC/WB seems to be struggling to do anything movie-wise with anyone else. They just got Superman off the ground again and of course they're having to do a new Batman in this universe (Ben Affleck) since Nolan's trilogy ended and for many, that's a tough act to follow. Green Lantern scared them off from anyone outside of Supes & Bats.
I think Marvel is about to eat their lunch though if they don't get things in order. Marvel is getting their speedster to the big screen (twice) with Quicksilver appearing in the next Avengers movie (and the next X-Men movie). DC is going to be in a tough spot if Marvel is the first one to get a strong, lead female character out to the front before they even do anything with Wonder Woman and that's if she's still not regulated to a TV show with a 'eh' budget. Katee Sackhoff has apparently been in talks with Marvel and people are wondering if she's being looked at for Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel. Guardians features the Nova Corps which operates kind of the same way as the Green Lanterns (intergalactic police force) so Marvel has a chance to do a movie with them right, showing up DC's Green Lantern attempt and I think the last thing they need is Marvel moving forward on a Namor movie which would put Aquaman in a tough spot as 'King of Atlantis'.
DC has it together with their animation but they're pretty much getting hammered in a corner on the movie front.
I'm ranting now...

OMG, just did this quiz and got Stefan Salvatore!!!!! Maybe you're a Stefansgirl after all... The shame, my Damon heart cant take it, lol. No seriously, in real life, Stefan would probably be my ideal man but I watch TVD for the fantasy drama, the hotness which is Damon Salvatore and to escape reality. I'd probably run a mile from a real life Damon coz i'm such a scaredy cat!

Not sure if this is the topic for this or not (if not, move accordingly) but I just played the demo for 'Beyond: Two Souls" yesterday which has Ellen Page as a lead and also stars Willem Dafoe doing voice work and motion capture for characters that share their likeness. Trailer: And a BTS peek: It's got a supernatural basis to it (an entity follows/has been with Ellen Page's character, Jodie, all her life) so I kind of imagine something like TVD done in this manner. Not sure who you'd play as but if it was set in Mystic Falls with all the actors playing their parts and being interactive, I'd love that. And interactive TVD where things may or may not lead down the same path (so maybe multiple endings) but you can alter the events leading up to things depending on how you play/do things. Is the gang prepared for their next enemy due to your choices? Did someone live in your game and not die like they did in someone else's? I know people have been disappointed/happy with past season choices and this kind of approach would make that a thing of the past. In the demo for Beyond, depending on what you do, things can play out differently. For instance, on a train after police boarded looking for Jodie, she takes off running. During my first go, the officer I ran into in the hallway beat my ass and I ended up handcuffed. After having Aidan (the entity) posses the officer on guard and free me, he helps bust out the window in the cabin and I jump off the train, ending up in the woods. Replayed it and this time, I beat that officer in the hallway, was able to make it to the bathroom to have Aidan bust out the ceiling leading to the roof where I had to fight multiple officers which lead to me eventually jumping off the train and ending up in the woods anyways. I'm wondering if anyone from TVD will eventually get a 'video game' role or if we'd ever get to the point where someone would buy the license to a YA novel or the sort and instead of opting for TV show or movie (which in truth, is a bigger audience for their target), goes for a video game like the above and allows the fans the choice in how things play out with multiple endings and getting the likeness of characters 'right'. I think I read that this was done on a ~$27 million budget and after marketing, that may bump it to the $40-60 million range but still, with movies in the $100-200 range now, I'd like to think this would be a nice option. CG wouldn't look awkwardly done and they could really go all out in presenting powers, not having to really worry about SFX. Done with my fanboyish dream
