Just finished watching all of the Twilight movies, and I just love this song from Breaking Dawn: Part Two. It's 'Everything and Nothing' from the Boom Circuits. Really great song!

I read about half-way through The first Twilight book but I just couldn't take it anymore. It was too much. Stefanie Myers clearly had an audience in mind, and I certainly wasn't it. I don't think a lot of guys would've enjoyed reading them. But I did like the movies (strange, I know), so here's my favorites, in order: Twilight -- It's my absolute favorite. Loved the music and the whole atmosphere that Catherine Hardwicke created. New Moon -- If you asked me when it came out I would've told you it was a total disappointment. But after watching it a number of times I came to appreciate it more and more. I loved the Jacob and Bella scenes (especially in the first half), the Victoria chase scene with "hearing damage" playing in the background, meeting the Volturi for the first time, and the general subdued vibe it had going for it. Breaking Dawn: Part One -- Loved the wedding; Bella awkwardly walking around in heels (hilarious!); Loved the cinematography. I thought it was the best looking of all the Twilight movies; Of course the Island. Loved all the scenes there. Bella's transformation at the end was really well done. Loved that. TVD kinda stole it, but whatever. It was just a really good movie all around. Eclipse -- I loved how the rain falling in the beginning created a somber yet atmospheric vibe. Loved Bella's reading of 'Fire and Ice' by Robert Frost during the opening credits. Excellent choice of poetry. The werewolves and the Cullens working together; that was nice. Edward and Jacob's little "argument" in the tent about Bella was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Finally putting an end to Victoria was also nice. She sorta had it coming. Nice movie overall. Breaking Dawn: Part Two -- My least favorite, though not a bad movie in of itself. Bella as a vampire was great to see, but I wish they could've done more with her. I thought Kristen did a great job with those scenes in the beginning. Probably her best acting job of the series. I loved everyone coming together to fight the Volturi. Those were some great scenes. Plus, it was nice seeing all the vampires from different parts of the world. I did not like the Jacob imprinting storyline. I thought it was a little too "out there" for my taste. But to each his own. Breaking Dawn: Part Two was a solid movie by itself, if only a tad disappointing when compared to the rest. But those ending credits were great though, am I right? The Twilight Saga are a good group of movies I always enjoy watching. They may not be great from an objective opinion, but as a vampire fan they're a welcomed addition to that genre, and I'm thankful they were created cause they helped foster in other shows and movies -- namely my favorite of all time: The Vampire Diaries.

jennifer If you don't mind sharing, what made Eclipse your least favorite? katvolley13 New Moon was my least favorite too. I'm an Edward girl, just didn't work for me.

Oh sure tara, I have lots to say! Mostly how I understand the story although some negative whining too. It was a variety of things with Eclipse. I didn't think it was as well-written as the previous two. I didn't like the army of newbie vampires or Rachel and the guy she was using. The part with Bree was gratuitous imo. One big factor was I didn't want Bella to want to be a vampire so badly. I was team Jacob in part because I wanted Bella to have a human life. I never disliked Edward though. It wasn't a shipping war for me. Once she became pregnant, I threw my eggs in the Edward basket because then he became the better choice for her. I never really got used to Bella as a vampire though. Since I think Meyer was going for the idea of predestination ** in the books, that Bella was always meant to meet Edward, to be 'better' as a vampire than as a human, and to live forever with Edward - her mate- I didn't harbor many delusions that she would end up with Jacob, but I thought humanity and Jacob were the better choice until she broke his heart and a small part of hers. So Eclipse ended any hope in that direction. **The Mormon influence in the books was predestination imo. I believe Meyer mentioned it's a Mormon principle (ideal?) that each person has a mate for life and the afterlife. The wolf imprinting has a biological basis but since they were werewolves, there was also destiny involved: only one mate in the universe for each wolf. I detested the imprinting story line. As a Jacob fan, it felt like a way to throw him a bone, keep him in Bella's life and find his mate all at once. And no matter how I tried, I couldn't get past the weirdness of imprinting on a baby or toddler.

Book: New Moon bc dark and angsty and psychological. Despite no Edward it's just the most well-written. (But I loved reading them all.) Movie: Tie between Twilight and BD 1 because they're by far the most romantic, and really the two that focus on the B/E relationship. I'll admit that when this thread was created I felt strange... Like I'm cheating on my current love by secretly rendezvous-ing with my ex! What was the saying? OME? ? I have issues, I know. Oh and jennifer, I hated the Eclipse movie too. From Bella's horrible wigs to the embarrassing indoor snow set at the end, there were just so many low-budget things they should have gotten right. I don't think David Slade cared all that much about the larger story being told, he just wanted to make a cool looking movie. The book Eclipse was just ok for me- I know it's lots of people's favorite. I am actually a Movie Edward and Book Jacob fan... Edward in the books was a little too overbearing.

Yes, in the Mormon faith your marriage is a sealed marriage (which is why there is an importance at getting married at a temple, either regionally or if you are so lucky THE temple in Temple Square in SLC, rather that at your local church) because there is a behind closed door ceremony that seals what they believe is an "eternal marriage" Ah, but wait...In this eternity in their version of heaven or as they call the "celestial kingdom" there are levels or tiers, women can't ever be in the top level, but their husbands can come down to their level and fornicate then retreat back up to their better tier. So ...yay!? ...and yes that whole imprinting storyline was...mmm, disturbing.

Books 1. Twilight 2. Breaking Dawn 3. Eclipse 4. New Moon Movies 1. Twilight 2. Breaking Dawn P1 3. Breaking Dawn P2 4. New Moon 5. Eclipse I agree with amimi Twilight & BD are top on my list as well because they were the most romantic and focused more on B/E's relationship. Twilight is still my favorite hands down because it's what made me fall in love with the series to begin with. I couldn't stand NM. I only read it once. I was bored to tears. I almost threw the book across the room when Edward left and I felt Bella's pain. I would skim pages and kept waiting for it to pick up. Now if I want to read it I jump to when Alice shows up and they go to Italy to get Edward. It's more enjoyable. The movie was so much better. I liked Eclipse and read it quite a few times. Yes Edward was a little over protective, but I could understand his reasoning. I could also understand Bella's attitude a little as well because she did change alot when he left. I didn't like how she led Jacob on, though. The Eclipse movie had some good moments, but overall I didn't like it because they made Bella a hateful b**** to Edward. All David Slade cared about was making an action movie to attract men. He forgot who his audience was. The cast didn't have a very pleasant experience working with him either from what I could tell. They always talked about how much they loved working with the other 3 directors, but I never heard them say that about David. They didn't bad mouth him, they just didn't talk about him. When I want to watch Eclipse I put it on with the commentary of Rob and Kristen. It's really the only way to enjoy it. Rob is hysterical. If you haven't done it and are a Rob fan, I highly recommend it. Hearing Rob talk about Bella's hair! Yep, highly entertaining! BD- Yes I could've done without the imprinting. It was definitely a little out there. I loved it because Edward and Bella were finally able to be together. They got their happy ending even though there were some bumps along the way.
