You probably have seen this before... I've just seen it and I would like to discuss it with all of you... TVLINE | What’s Silas’ agenda as Stefan? Is he going to be sticking around town for some purpose? I can’t say whether he’ll be sticking around town, although I can say that he’ll definitely be coming back to town when we get back into the next season. His agenda has always been to cure himself, to get rid of the other side so that he could then die and pass over and find peace. That will remain his agenda. The question is: How will he go about it? Everything he meant to do this year blew up in his face. TVLINE | Can he really fool everyone into thinking he’s Stefan? He’s going to give it a good college try. He is, after all, psychic, as well. So he can get inside people’s heads and make them think whatever he wants. It’s not like we’re going to play an entire season of The Parent Trap. [Laughs] But there will be some funny times right at the beginning of the season. So, apparently, Silas will be out all summer but he'll come back and go to college, where Elena and Caroline are. I wonder what is he doing there!? And, to make people think what he wants to, that could be interesting... I think the new triangle is Damon/Elena/Silas! Don't forget about Katherine. I wouldn't be surprised if Damon realizes its his love for Katherine that drove him to Elena. The triangle may be Elena/Damon/Katherine and unlike the old/real Elena, does Katherine care if anyone is killed on her behalf? I hope we'll get to see more of Katherine's history too in s5. Damon pined after Katherine for 145 years but he was quick to turn to Elena when Katherine rejected him. It just seems to quick to be genuine on Damon's part.

I know, the way Damon went from being 145 years obsessed with Katherine to love Elena, is really strange... Aaaaaaahhh, I could deal with a Elena/Stefan/Katherine triangle, and that's it, I'm so sick and tired of TVD triangles. JP doesn't know how to write triangles

I would spew venom I am not interested in that. That would be a horrible move we are already mad at Damon he does not get Katherine too unless she is going to kill him then I am OK with it lol.

The triangles are not meant to last this long and there is always suppose to be a definitive winner and she is playing to many games with this and making her whole series rely upon the triangle that the ahow can't be seen for anything else... which is such a shame because it had SO many stories to tell that it just couldn't because she has to flip flop this triangle so much.

Let's be clear my true preference for Damon is a stake in his heart...that's an otp too - no? No one deserves to be with Damon but it still wouldn't surprise me if K/D/E are a triangle next season.

Good news, though, TVD fans — the writers are back in action and we’re sure to have all the scoop before you know it!
On Monday, June 3, executive producer Julie Plec took to Twitter the confirm the exciting news: “Tomorrow: week 1 of TVD writers room. Did @carolinedries, @young_Brian et al miss me like I missed them or am I co-dependent & delusional?” she joked.
To get a better idea of what goes on in the writing room, the people over at CarterMatt.com have broken down the process...
“One of the earliest things that the writers all work together on is establishing a story for the overall season (or at least an arc of around 10-13 episodes), and then figuring out just where everything fits into place. This strategy is a way in which to ensure that there are overall ideas put into place before individual scripts — that way there is not some sort of need after the fact to alter or change things up beyond just some minor shifts here and there. While specific people may write drafts of each scripts, they often go through a number of rewrites and even suggestions from the network before making it to the air.”
Of course, the TVD writers room is about as top secret as the CIA, so don’t expect anything too spoilery to get leaked too soon. That said, keep checkin’ back for all the latest scoop, because you know we’ll be on top of it! www.wetpaint.com/vampire-diaries/articles/2013-06-05-season-5-writing-process-begun

Julie Plec reveals five storylines she’s ‘super-excited’ about in season five. “Anything’s possible” as we head into the fifth season of The Vampire Diaries this fall, and executive producer Julie Plec was on-hand June 9 to preview the drama to come. While fielding fan questions during the show’s panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, she shed some light on the “great new characters, great new world … and great new romance” ahead.
1. Damon & Elena’s ‘New Relationship’ Now that Elena (Nina Dobrev) has officially chosen Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Julie said they’ll start a “new relationship” together, and we’ll get to see them “try to make it work.”
Of course, their relationship will be affected by the “villain in their midst they don’t know is a villain at the beginning.”
2. The ‘Mystery’ Of Stefan & Silas Speaking of that unknown villain, Julie said fans will really enjoy Stefan’s doppelganger story line, which will allow Paul Wesley to flex his acting muscles as two completely different characters.
“[There will be] a pretty cool mythology that will carry on in terms of Silas, and the mystery of his past — 1,000 or 2,000 years ago,” she said.
3. There’s Still Hope For ‘Klaroline’ Despite two major obstacles standing in the way of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice Accola) getting together — not only are they on separate shows, but Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is also pregnant with Klaus’ baby — Julie said we shouldn’t consider ‘Klaroline’ to be a thing of the past:
Hayley is, by no means, the Cinderella in the Klaus love story. Hayley is a girl who’s pretty tough, fiery, independent … a survivor in her own right who got drunk, had sex and got knocked up. She’s going to have her own journey. She’s not really meant to be a threat to Klaus’ love life.
4. A ‘Freakin’ Pissed’ Human Katherine Deciding to make Katherine the vampire who took the cure was no easy task for Julie and her writing team — but it’ll certainly be even less easy for Katherine, who will struggle to cope with suddenly being human again.
“We were just in the room the other day talking about the first time she catches a cold — just how freakin’ pissed she’s going to be about that,” Julie joked.
5. Jeremy Gilbert: Born Again Fans were thrilled when Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) returned to the land of the living on the fourth season finale — but don’t expect his return to be a smooth one. Julie said there will be plenty of new obstacles as the hunter-turned-ghost-turned-human heads back to school.
“What the hell cover story is that going to be?” she said. “How’s he going to explain that? He had a memorial service! There were flyers!”

if damon and elena don't immediately know that silas is not stefan it will show that they don't care about stefan at all. poor change of character. but julie said it will be interessting to see the two different characters stefan and silas so i assume stefan will not stay under water for too long and that's what gives me hope for season 5.
