This thread is for anyone who watches Gotham. It is a Fox network program that airs on Monday @ 7pm Central Time. I love the show and can't wait to discuss it with others who watch it
I mean it has Ben McKenzie as the lead actor!! My favorite from my Favorite drama The OC. I am soooo very happy for him that he got this role and this show.

Gotham is an ok show. I watched the first episode, but wasn't really impressed. Though I'm willing to give it a chance, so I might pop in here every now and then. I only saw the first ep, but I have the rest queued up, so I'll probably watched those soon. I hope it improved since the last time I saw it.

@dman24 well, I think I had higher hopes for it as well BUT Ben does a great job and I think it has potential. The problem is I think with this show the first season won't be it's best, unlike many other series They have so much to set up PLUS the penguin Villain wasn't my favorite. I am banking on the fact that Ben is doing good and the story has to get better with better villains.
The OC will always be my favorite. I loved it for the Seth and Ryan bromance, but I did love Marisa and cried my heart out at that crash scene with her and Ryan omg saddest scene ever in a teen drama. Hands down, I can't beleive anyone could top that.

Good I am watching last night episode now and I do think it is getting better and better. So glad you set this up teppy1! I'm really into Gotham right now. I dvr it and watch on Tues. because of Originals and Sleepy Hollow on Mon. Some of the attraction is the visual world they've created. I saw Ben Mc. in a few episodes of Southland but that's it. He can definitely carry Gotham! Penguin is completely creepy, but he's more interesting to me than all the gangster stuff going on. Mostly I'm curious to see how the Jim/Bruce relationship develops, as well as the back story for the rest of the villains. It's one of those shows I realize I've lost time while watching because it pulls me in so completely.

I like that they have The Riddler on the police force. I do lose time with the show as well which is why I watch Gotham live more often than The Originals. Actually, I think the Originals kind of lost me. Idk why really but I like The Voice this season and Gotham soo too much going on at that time slot.

"I have a paradox for you." Monday definitely has too many good shows in the first slot. We watch Big Bang as a family, so I'm torn between keeping up with tradition or watching Originals (still liking it). Gotham I watch on Tues. Thankfully Big Bang is supposed to move. Gotham was kinda gross this week. It's always clever, and I'm intrigued by the story even though it's not my typical show in the killin' category.

jennifer He is funny- I hope we see The Riddler more. It was gross this week. The trash can scene was very sa, but for some reason I think that is a better way to go than the weather balloons. That would be a horrible way to die. At least the trash can thing seemed fast... maybe... idk both are pretty bad I guess haha. Yes, I wish some of these show were on Tuesday. I would watch Big Bang too. I wish The Originals was on Wednesday. I would watch it for sure.

Watched Eps 1 & 2. Figured I would since I'm checking out other comic shows (Shield, Arrow, Flash and going to likely watch Constantine).
Liking the mob stuff but sick of being bashed over the head with references. Can you believe that? Selina for instance and wanting to be called Cat. Her actual scenes when she gets to speak are fine but all the sneaking around and posing stuff needs to be phased out. Don't like Bruce so far.
Right now, while I nab the next 2 episodes, I feel like I'm enjoying the show more for the look into corrupt Gotham than for the actual Batman stuff. It's just a horrible place to live and corrupt at all levels. Show runners have done a good job of creating Gotham compared to Nolan so credit to them for that.

Caught up now. Is it just me or is the show's tone jarring at times? I mean, great you want some comedy in your show but it seems ill placed or some scenes just come off that way when I don't think they're supposed to. The Ballon Man ending for instance where Harvey hooks him up to send him flying and then Jim hops on. Oddity ensues. In fact, Jim and Harvey seem like they should be in a buddy cop comedy show with a lot of their scenes (think this is more the way Harvey's character is). Scenes with Fish on the other hand...hmmm. Between OK and calling it in/not selling me with a side of outright foolishness.
I'm enjoying enough of the show but the tone is my big glaring issue right now. Like it's playing too much in the middle of what direction it wants to go. Either way, got something else to watch on Mondays.

Yeah I agree I am a hardcore batman fan hardcore lol I was harley quinn last year for Halloween and since my boyfriend and I are going to new orleans for the holiday this year we have three new versions of the joker harley quinn costumes just to prove how hardcore I am. Ha ha so I to had some trouble with rewriting the history of these characters. Selina kyle liked cats but to have her be a juvenile catgirl is pushing that story a lot. However I do enjoy seeing what they do with it. I really liked the scene with poison ivy and they drop parents names for instance cardinal quinn one of the balloon victims. Yeah, kind of wondering how much leeway they have with the history and rewriting relationships/run ins. I have a decent idea of Batman villains but not sure about the time frame that Gotham takes place in that would allow much use for them like we're seeing with Penguin. Some would probably be in Bruce & Selina's age range at that if they were introduced.

They were even allowed to create fish mooney but at times her acting is very good and then at times over the top. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I527 using proboards

Yes, I think they do because I think the orphan is going to be "cat woman" and in the movie we saw how cat woman came about and she was not "cat womam" as a child. I do not mind that though, It is kinda like TVD being very different from the books. It is like the show is inspired by the movies/comic not sticking to every detail of them. I am excited for tonight's episode
