Call me crazy, but considering everything else this season I actually like the wonder twins so far.

I am in need of some Damon-and-Elena scoop on The Vampire Diaries. — Felicia While stuck-in-the-'90s Damon will be reluctant to believe Bonnie's crossword theory, they quickly find clear evidence that proves they're most certainly not alone. But will the person actually be able to help them? Meanwhile, look for Alaric's compulsion to take immediate effect on Elena, whose new outlook, especially regarding Damon, shocks even her best friend.

Call me crazy, but considering everything else this season I actually like the wonder twins so far. We're both crazy then, 'cause I see it too. Good sib banter in this one. I didn't think about Tyler/Liv pairing, but she's perfect to take him on and call him on his crap and he'll do the same with her b***iness. A match made in heaven.

Thanks debThis compulsion thing makes Elena look even more stupid than before, doesn't it? So did Alaric compell her love for Damon away or does she not remember her relationship with him at all? I thought she would be more like "OMG how could I ever love someone like him", you know just the feeling compelled away not the memory.

Alaric changed the memories so all of the things Damon did for Elena that made her see him differently and fall in love him never happened. Creating a domino effect through all her memories. Like meeting on the road "you had a nice moment on the road with a stranger, but that is all he was, a stranger", miss mystic falls pageant "you went down the stairs and no one was there", Season 3 kiss on the front porch "he kissed you, you told him it was inappropriate", sirebond even though she knew her feelings were real "your feelings were because of the sirebond", Season 3 motel kiss "no one kissed anyone", to then the "signature moment" when she fell in love with Damon her birthday when he gave her the necklace "Damon never came into the room, he never gave you the necklace." So the feelings are only compelled away because the memories were completely changed as to not happening the way they happened. Which is why I loathe this compulsion storyline as it is pretty easy to see where it will lead. Also it provides no character growth for Elena because she took the easy way out. Reminds me of the time on Buffy when Willow was heartbroken over Oz leaving and coming back for all his stuff without letting anyone know he was gone for good, Willow wanted to use magic to make the feeling go away because she didn't think she could bear the pain she was in. But everyone was against it, saying they knew she was in pain but only time can heal that wound not wiping it from memory. So instead Willow who was just a newbie witch at the time tried to find a spell to do it herself only to have it backfire and cause problems for her friends (the Something Blue episode). The repercussions were instant. You can't circumvent the pain with magic. The way out is through, no matter how painful. Took Whedon one episode to convey that, but on TVD we get a whole storyline out of it with nary a hint at any sort of life lesson to be learned.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 0.9, up 13 percent from last week's 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.
And this was well deserved

I know this may be an unpopular view on here but I liked the episode and have genuinely liked the season so far. Yes I know that Elena took the easy way out with the compulsion but it at least offers different SLs and different avenues this season instead of the tedious grieving and self pity scenes. And once they took away the DE angst and longing....magically it felt like a S1-2 episode of TVD again. Imagine that. Like I have said, having DE become a couple was not a bad thing for the show. What was bad was that they focused too much on DE drama/angst and got away from what made the show fun and exciting. Now with the drama/angst gone...boom...the fun, excitement and mystery is back.
I understand Stefan's motivations for acting the way he is but I don't like his attitude or behavior. The way he is treating Caroline is wrong. She has stood by him over the years, been a shoulder to cry on, helped him control his emotions and this is how he treats her? Not good Stefan. Hopefully the real Stefan comes back not this unemotional jackass.
Big question I have is who is this Kai person with Damon and Bonnie? How did he get there? I think he is connected to Tripp and Jay(the hunter Enzo killed in the woods) but I could be wrong.
A Tyler and Liv pairing really intrigues me for some reason. They have some chemistry and I hope the writers explore that RL more.
Jeremy's new fling is so Bonnie's long lost sister and may be the key to rescuing Damon/Bonnie.
As much as I love SE, I want to see Steroline. It is so obvious that Caroline loves and cares for Stefan...he needs to open his damn eyes. Plus i think he knows deep down he has feelings for her too. He just is so broken and grief stricken right now that he won't let himself think or experience that.
I was happy to see Elena/Stefan bonding. It has been way too long. I don't need them back together romantically but I do need them to be really close friends. I miss their bond and connection and it was nice to see that again.

What I liked this episode is the return of compassionate Elena. Volunteering at the hospital, trying to bring her friends together, being there for Caroline. I am so glad she was still in there. I also think Damon is so much more himself with Bonnie than he allowed himself to be with Elena. Also how great is it that Bonnie has something to do that puts her in the A Plot. She and Damon have huge personality as a couple. I have only watched 6x03 once but my favourite visual is from the end after Stefan staked Enzo -- twice."I'm Stefan Salvatore." YES You are Mofo!! That was very impressive. Then he leaves Enzo. He came to town to do it, BAM he did it. YUM. The thought did cross my mind, though, that, without Damon, where Elena is a kinder, more compassionate person, Stefan is acting a good deal more aggro. They have kind of flipped personalities. Enzo deserved it, in my book. However, as he was left there, I did backslide, thinking of his horrible years with Augustine, and the horrific Trippmobile. So maybe I hope he gets saved. I like Liv, think she's a good match for Tyler. She's quirkier than Caroline, maybe Tyler will develop more of a personality. Was super impressed with him trying to keep it together, will he be the new Stefan? PS Later --- Nah. Tyler is too perfect-looking to be the new Stefan. The other thing I realized is that Jeremy is not just acting out, he's acting out in Damon's example, perhaps in his memory. Evidenced by the swig of Damon's liquor after "the other died." Actually, I'm surprised there is any liquor at all left in that house given Jeremy's been on his own for four months. Also, Sarah trashed the Salvatore house. Was she looking for the necklace?
