Day 01. What was your favorite 3 episodes and why?
Episode 11 (I don't think I'll ever get the title right because it was in French.): I liked this episode mostly because it showed a softer side of Klaus, and big bonus, Hayley met Klaus' werewolf family. I think this was also the first time that Klaus referred to the baby as "our child" rather than "my child" or "the child." This episode was also relieving, as terrible as it may seem, because I couldn't stand Davina and I was glad to at least get a break from her. I also liked that Elijah saw a little bit of what Hayley is capable of in this episode. He forgave her for what she did with what everyone thought were Celeste's remains, but he got a glimpse of how Hayley looks out for number one and she can't even be trusted alone with his journals.
The Battle of New Orleans: A lot of important things, and exciting things, happened in this episode. Marcel very stupidly tried to lead an army to take down Klaus again, as if it would work after the last time, and the Guerrera werewolves showed up and attacked everyone in the compound. We found out that every time the Guerrera werewolves, Oliver included now, use the moonlight rings, Klaus gets the life drained out of him and no amount of blood can help him. I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets around that and takes down those werewolves. I can't see any alliance, especially a shaky one, being enough to make people want to fight Klaus' battles. He'll have to keep up the charade of his frame-job from the season finale by pretending to get revenge on the Guerrera werewolves for killing his baby. He'll look weak if he lets Elijah do that for him.
From a Cradle to a Grave: I was very nervous about this episode because TO has gone too far with some stories, but I wasn't disappointed. I see Hayley becoming a hybrid, and consequently losing touch with her family in the future, as justice for what she did in Mystic Falls. I'm glad that even though TO writers don't want to acknowledge some things from TVD, they're at least giving a nod to what Hayley is really all about. I don't hate the character, don't get me wrong. In fact, I might be able to like her now that she's a hybrid. I also liked the slight reconciliation between Klaus and Rebekah after the disaster that was Episode 16.
Somehow I get the feeling that Klaus planned all along to send Baby Hope away. The EPs said he wasn't interested in being a father, and any idiot knows that a major city filled with so much fighting isn't a safe place to raise a child. I think Klaus somehow manipulated the situation so that Hayley would think it was her idea to send Hope away, but he had planned for at least a month to send the baby away with Rebekah. All he had to do was wait for someone to try to kill the baby again and he would have had an excuse. I don't think Rebekah has any intention of giving Hope back, though, and Klaus probably knows it. The only one who is constantly in the dark about his siblings' fighting is Elijah, until the fighting gets so bad that Elijah has to play big brother and try to salvage what's left of his family. I don't think Klaus will try to get Hope back from Rebekah right away. He can't run a city and worry about a baby, and he doesn't trust Elijah or Hayley. I think he intends to let Rebekah raise his daughter, and then he'll track Hope down himself when she's an adult. I wouldn't be surprised if this revelation is what causes more fighting among Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley.

Day 01. What was your favorite 3 episodes and why?
First of all, I would like to say that all episodes simply blew me away, this sentence I have used previously for all episodes of TVD se 1-4. Unfortunately I couldn't use it this season of TVD, but that is another issue.
EP00 PILOT (DIRECTOR’S CUT)
ok it was a recycled episode from TVD season 4, but....
The pilot from Elijah's pov!!!
and I just can't get over Marcel's introduction singing in a bar....wow!!! sweat!!! sexiness overload !!!
The Originals - Marcel's Intro (How you like me now)
EP15 LE GRAND GUIGNOL
all that scheming and plotting and the flight from New Orleans. Drama pure!!!
and of course the flashbacks!!!
EP22 FROM A CRADLE TO A GRAVE
epic finale, the graveyard scene reminded me of Bram Stokers Dracula adaptation by FF Coppola.

Day 02. What were your least favorite 3 episodes and why?
Crescent City: While I like a half-naked man as much as the next girl, it seemed like most of this episode was for Julie Plec's pleasure. By this point I was so tired of Celeste that it didn't matter that Elijah figured out that she wasn't Sabine. Klaus trying to kill Monique, and then Monique killing her own aunt, was going too far for network television.
Long Way Back From Hell: This episode made no sense to me. First Celeste wanted to get revenge on Klaus, and now she suddenly wants to punish Elijah by tearing his family apart? The only thing that made me curious was how it took Celeste telling the story of how Rebekah killed her and Genevieve to motivate Klaus to start trying to kill Rebekah. Rebekah's hallucinations were also a little bit cheesy.
Farewell to Storyville: I remember saying before this episode aired that if Klaus succeeded in putting that white oak stake in Rebekah, whether he actually killed her or not, I was going to stop watching the show. Of course that's exactly what happened, and I was not the only one who took a break. Ratings were significantly lower the following week. I remember they promoted Episode 18 incessantly on Twitter to try to bring the ratings back up again. After everything else fans had to tolerate on the show that season, Klaus making an earnest attempt to kill his sister, who he had victimized enough, was going way, way, way too far.
I still don't believe that Klaus wanted to kill Rebekah just because she summoned Mikael to kill him almost a century ago. Mikael was long dead at the time. It was something Celeste said in "Long Way Back from Hell" that set Klaus off, and it seemed like he used the incident with Mikael as a flimsy excuse to kill Rebekah and Marcel. Klaus' sexcapades with Genevieve were all about self-loathing, so he wasn't trying to avenge her. He never cared about Celeste. He had to have another reason for going after Rebekah, otherwise it makes no sense. Julie Plec called what Rebekah did "family destruction," but Klaus faced those demons when he killed Mikael a long time ago. If there was really no other reason for Klaus to want to remove Rebekah from his life for good, then that particular arc was likely just a plot device to introduce Mikael. It's out of character for Klaus to try to kill Rebekah or send her away when he daggers his siblings out of a fear of ending up alone.
I just remembered that when Marcel got in Klaus' face near the end of Farewell to Storyville, Klaus just smiled and walked away. I see this as more evidence that Klaus intended to get Rebekah out of New Orleans and away from Marcel, possibly so that he could call Rebekah to come and take the baby after she was born. He also removed Rebekah as an obstacle to him controlling the city. He killed two birds with one stone. Klaus is a highly intelligent, manipulative creature, not to mention 1,000 years old. He knows his family better than anyone and can predict their reactions to his behavior. He could have found a very complicated way to achieve one or two of his goals without anyone suspecting that he was pulling puppet strings. Maybe he let Celeste and Genevieve think they had won some victory because that would suit his own purpose. It would be really cool to see the fallout if I'm right.

its tough to narrow my favorites…
Tangled up in the blue Because Klaus Scheming is always hot! lol this was the episode i think when he set up marcel's best friend to get into Marcel's inner circle.
The River in Reverse I believe this was the episode where Rebekah and Marcel attempted to take Klaus down and failed miserably lol
Battle of New Orleans Another Favorite of mine…Klaus and Eljah are unstopable
Least Favorite…? None they were all really good!

Day 03. Who was your favorite Character AND why? Tough choice, that would be Klaus and Elijah, can't choose so I will take them both into consideration. Klaus bec he is so evil, vulnerable, misunderstood, has few good character traits....but JoMo portrays him so brilliantly, that I love to hate him. oh man, I just love this video, gotta share it over and over again Elijah...for obvious reasons...calm, suave, debonaire, deadly, casual , effortless like a ballet performance, what I regret though is that Elijah lost some of his mystique this season. Another fav vid I love to post about Elijah!!!

BARF!!!!! Second that Francesca...don't like her, don't want to, never will...flirting with my Elijah...SNORT!!! pppfffffffffffttt!!!

Day 05. Who in your opinion got the most character growth?
Marcel, from a bad childhood, to an adopted child, blackmailed/manipulated into betraying his love, all hisplotting that led to the big disaster in the 20s, his taking charge of town, losing it etc.
I really like Marcel and I love the actor Charles Michael Davis, his smile, his voice, he has a presence on scene, that I appreciate.

Day 05. Who in your opinion got the most character growth?
I'm pretty sure we're in Day 5 because this thread was started on July 2. I think Hayley got the most character growth. I couldn't stand seeing her on the show from the start because JP and MN refused to acknowledge her behavior on TVD. Not only that, Hayley was portrayed as some sort of innocent victim who kept screwing things up by putting her baby in danger. Now, Hayley is a hybrid (finally there's a nod to the fact that she got 12 of them sacrificed), and she gave up her baby even though the baby was her only leverage on Klaus.
As far as I can recall, all of the other characters just kept repeating the same selfish, immature behaviors over and over throughout the season, with only brief periods in between where they showed signs of wanting to abandon their prior convictions. Then something would happen to put the characters back the way they were.
Klaus took a huge step in literally giving up Hope, but it was said all along that he could give or take an heir and he wasn't interested in changing diapers. He's also supposed to be back to his jerky self and out for blood again in Season 2. Some fans speculate that Klaus will revert to his usual self because the baby won't be around to keep him soft. I'm not sure if that's accurate. There's only so much a baby can do for a character like Klaus. He needs to change his own personality.

Day 06. What were the most shocking things for you in season 1
The return of Mommy Original, Esther, great cliffhanger and very shocking+creepy...
Now Poppa Original... was already bad enough that he came back, but Esthers comeback is far more evil.

Day 07. What made you the happiest in season 1 That the show was based on the three Original siblings, their history and background, their conflicts and love for each other. That we could dive deeper into that storyline...more presence of Elijah on screen at last!!!! Day 08. What made you the angriest? The witches most of the time, they were evil and pesky, well the majority of them and Ollie, the traitor...I think that guy is NO. 1 on my craplist!!!

Day 09. Favorite Quotes of Season 1
Marcel: And I'm not the prince of the city .... I'm the king!
Tbh I can't remember the words that precisely , but I think Klaus had many awesome oneliners.
I also tried to google the quotes but was not successful.
