This was my favourite scene from the last episode.
Some thoughts about the show. Nick has easily become one of my favourite characters. He has some really good lines, and scenes. (source: stilessderek)
I've grown to love Jeremy and Elena's relationship. Hahah I find it interesting that they have a family-like connection. Cause it reminds me of TVD. Jer and Elena haha. I want to know more about Jeremy. I want to see more of Jeremy and Elena's relationship on screen. It's kind of beautiful. And I love how he handles Clay. Just like a dog. Hahah or in this case wolf. (source: damonsinsanity) I can't wait for you guys to find out about Clay's story line. I hope it will clear up why he is the way he is.
I will tell you one thing about the way the pack works. Males inherit the gene and they don't turn till a certain age/time. (If I remember correctly.) The sons are taken away from their mothers and the boys grow up knowing about the change so that they are prepared. The mothers never find out about the genes. Nobody is to know about werewolves. No humans. It's to keep their secret safe.

Ah, so they basically just stick around long enough with a female to have a child and then leave? Logan talked about his mother in this episode (growing up/being raised by her) but that he was connected to Elena by way of his father.
I'm guessing Elena will be a special case if she does ever have a child. In MT, if a female Wolf gets pregnant, the child surviving isn't likely due to the mother changing. In fact, there is only one natural born Wolf in the series (Charles) and he's a special case cause his mother was Native American and had 'magical' assistance from her father in subduing the change and she didn't survive the birth. Charles in turn also has some special properties (he can transform back to human with clothes on for instance; can probably use magic if he wanted to I think).
Also, having watched the episode again tonight, can't help but feel it was a bit foreshadowing of Pete. When everyone else was given a job and he was 'left out' and then him saying good bye to Logan and Nick before heading back his own way. Granted, I knew what was coming but seeing the episode again made those moments really stand out for me.

Finally saw the episode. My days are Tuesdays after the originals since Mondays are booked for me.
Pretty solid episode. I like Elena and Logan actually and her relationship with Jeremy.
Wonder who killed Pete =( and if that guy from London has anything to do with it.
Still waking up to clay and I really like all the characters including Nick and the bald dude. He seems to be a leader as well.

Episode 4: {Spoiler} So we get a look at who's running the Mutts and if you suspected as much last episode, you're right on the ball: Carl. Him and one of the other Mutts they mentioned, Caine, are working together and turning murders into Wolves. The Mutt that died last episode escaped from prison with 2 others and the current Mutt that we've run into seems to be a serial murderer/torturer/rapist of women with a scrapbook. He's now got his eyes set on Elena & Co. cause they took his book.
Elena also kind of 'slipped up' in this episode early on with Clay. They went for a run and took a nap afterwards and during this time, Elena started to feel on Clay and Clay got a kiss in before Elena realized what she was doing/what was going on. Made it back to the house without putting her shirt on and Clay made it back completely naked just carrying his clothes which I thought was funny. Elena gets off the phone with Phillip and tells Clay that aside from the run itself, everything else that happened out there was a mistake.
Sheriff also seems to have gone to the previous Sheriff to ask about the Danvers. Seems she wants to look into things with the recent string of murders/killings and the dumping of the child's body on the Danvers' property.
Also, the brother of the previous Alpha that Jeremy killed, seems to have shown back up and is asking Logan to help him get to Stone Haven or at least get Jeremy to allow him to stay/help out. He's willing to look past Jeremy killing his brother in the hopes of solving the current problem of the Mutts (which he seems to now be since he's been cast out of his family's pack after Jeremy took over?).
Jeremy told Antonio earlier in the episode to go fill in some of the other Pack Families about what was going on as well. I assume they have to deal with this problem ASAP cause of the threat it poses to all of them. If the Mutts don't push them out, then I'd imagine the other Pack Families would step in and see that Jeremy can't handle his situation/isn't fit to lead. So time may be of the essence for their pack.
I do have to say, it only took 2 episodes for me to come around to Clay. He's fine as is now. He was just pretty heavy handed in his actions in the first 2 episodes with Elena being back and all. And despite Elena and him constantly being paired up, she saved his tail twice this episode.

I love reading your thoughts on the episode One thing that confused me...was the thing about the pack family. Maybe I skipped over it in the book...but as far as I knew there were only so many werewolves...and just one pack...but i guess it makes sense to have more. P.s its Karl and I think its Cain And so far the show is sticking closely to the books. A few changes here and there...but i dont mind them so much.

P.s its Karl and I think its Cain And so far the show is sticking closely to the books. A few changes here and there...but i dont mind them so much. I find the idea of limited Wolves/one Pack asinine honestly but I'm kind of /bias/functioning/spoiled off of ideas from MT. Wolf packs there are 20-30 members give or take (way too much for a show) if I recall right and 'Lone Wolves' (Mutts here) actually have to ask permission to take up residence on a Pack's territory. Of course, there are still enforcers to make sure rules are followed (Charles is one) but then again, Wolves are out along with the Fae in their universe so aside from controlled knowledge of what they want humans to know, they don't have to worry about keeping a secret now. And there is a lot more to 'Pack' going on in MT. They have 'Pack Magic' which allows a connection between members and also allows members to use it in specific ways such as being to accelerate healing or being lent some strength. If I recall, if you're not strong willed enough to be out on your own either, you can end up mad/Berserk so there is a heavy reliance on Pack for the majority (members live in the area of their pack but have a 'Pack Home' that the Alpha lives at and is open to all members; so Bitten is actually in the ball park with this although with 'longer range' on where members can live). From what little I've gathered so far, the Pack Families seem to just be enforcers/protectors of their rules and secrets, aside from being 'family' and giving members some normalcy/a place to be open/free. Bitten really does drive home the 'Pack = Family' thing but I still find it kind of odd that Mutts are looked down on the way they are. If that's all they're doing to Mutts, I can see why there would be some friction, especially with smarter Mutts not wanting to put up with it.

...Really Clay? ****ing really? You actually pulled that damn stunt on Elena? Jeremy tells you 'No' and you decide to change and bite Elena knowing that no female has ever survived the change? One *HELL* of a risk on that one Clay. That was nothing more than God being bored, watching it happen and before ending her, deciding, "I'll let it slide...this time".
Really, watching it play out, I was shocked it was happening. It's just stupid, LOL and SMH worthy all at the same time. That's one hell of a feat in decision making. I've slammed TVD characters for decisions like this but damn, Clay makes them look like they're playing Little League with that crap he pulled.
No wonder Elena is the way she is with him. There was the side she knew as a human and then there is that crap he pulled that dropped her into this life that she wants no part of. And to drive the point home, apparently, all this crap coming down on their heads is because of the way Clay enforced/enforces. Elena partnering up with him for 2 years, according to Daniel, gave Mutts some ease if they got Elena but Clay's methods seem to have pushed a bit too far. Finding out why the Mutts are trying to go to war has once again pushed Elena away cause of Clay's supposed involvement.
And El Mr. Phillip is trying to work with the footage shot of Elena & Logan when they turned before first leaving for Stone Haven, killing the Coyote, for an ad campaign. Footage that was posted to the internet no less. Really want to know how this will be explained away/dealt with by the Pack(s).

Loved the episode. I didn't read the book so I like that they showed how Clay and Elena met and that Clay was the one that turned her. I thought she was always a wolf. I was shocked that it was Clay that turned her.

So i wrote a bunch and I dont know where it went....ctrl z doesnt work...gah. GAh anyway ill just recap what i wrote. I didn't like Clay in the books first off, he comes off as a jerk. But somewhere along the line he grew on me, as i started to understand him more and more, i just began to really love his character Another big thing that happens in the episode was the hint to Clays back story. It really does show us a little about why he is the way he is. If you can put two and two together And I realized a few days ago the words exchanged between Clay and Elena; "It's in my nature" is directly linked to the above. So i can't wait to see how his story continues
