Gonna knock this thread out of the way before Ep 2 airs tonight (Mondays on SyFy at 10pm). Ep 1 did a great job of hooking me and left me eager for Ep 2 to roll around. Seems like a solid cast of characters so far as everyone seems to have a unique/enjoyable personality ('cept Clay). I like that there are rules to being a Werewolf but you're allowed to live your own life unless called upon by your pack (like we've seen in the first episode with Jeremy calling back his back from their regular lives after a human killing by a 'Mutt' is made on their turf and riskes exposing them outside of breaking one of their laws by killing a human for sport). Ep 2 impressions: Having watched Ep 2 already (Canada airs the newest episode on Saturdays), I have to say the only character that really bothers/annoys me at this point is Clay. 'Possessive' is the word you'd probably use but I'd substitute it for 'Creep'. The way he's just on Elena the entire time when she finally comes back home is kind of reason enough to see why she left...and I'm sure it's not even for that nature. We saw how they were when she first arrived in a flashback so something with south. Anyways, he's just out of line nearly all the damn time. Wanting to take the bag is the gentleman thing to do but the guy just seems to be making all the wrong steps towards someone who wants as little to do with him as possible. She's back, take that win. Instead, he's making things worse/pushing her away. Not giving her any space and saying/doing things that annoy her. The pat on the head when she was in her Wolf form? He had to know he was crossing a line but did it anyways. Sitting outside her window at night? Outside her door when she's on the phone with her current boyfriend? Where's your peephole in her wall, Clay? The guy just needs to pump the brakes. Then again, Elena had a dream about him so...? Everyone else however seems fun. We get a little more info on Werewolf society/order too. Alphas, challenging Alphas, killing humans if forbidden unless they witness you change (?), protect the secret of the kind, etc.. Seems all pretty straight forward. Werewolves also age slower in this series. I'm wondering how marriage works though for them. Apparently females don't survive the turning (Elena being the exception) and even then, can only be made through a bite (males can be born I gather from this) so my question is, are the wives/significant other let in on the secret or not? In Elena's case, if she were to take a human husband, I guess she could give him the option to turn if the pack allowed it. It's an interesting/kind of sad situation however for the males though IMO since females don't survive the turning and you know you're time with them isn't going to be as long as your existence I liked the little backstory we got on Jeremy from whatshisname. He was touring and ended up turning & killing a groupie (that whole forbidden thing). He went to Jeremy who challenged the then Alpha to save his life in the process and won. Life is spared and from what Jeremy said about his father (who also died from someone taking a shot at his title as Alpha), his father left/got even further distant after Jeremy made his challenge for the Alpha of his pack. The 2 weren't close but it's still kind of odd that his father wouldn't be proud of his son in that regard (obviously, need more history). Honestly don't like that they're going to use the death of a kid to keep Elena in town. I hate that trope/cliche.

So I just saw the second episode and I agree clay was posessive but I am guessing they are going to start out with him being dark and peel back his layers. He is the psychopath lol his words so he may not do relationships well. I think he will be a complex character and things will come to light. It was another great episode though. I am super excited about the next one.

Watched Bitten today and it was a good episode. You are right though Slash Clay seems like a creep. I am assuming he was the one who turned Elena? So Part of Elena leaving town was because she ended up killing someone to prevent from being exposed and it was something that she definitely never saw herself doing. Also the whole petting thing! He is definitely lucky she did not bite his hand off, he definitely has some nerve. The Clan seems very close and you can tell Elena has the Baby sister role in the family. They all love her and I guess you see the adoration in the fact shes the only female werewolf. I see why Jeremy would try to keep her in town as long as he can. She's family she just got there, and they obviously miss her but who would be in this home? Jeremy? and Clay? It seems that Jeremy made Clay end it with Elena? Probably after he turned her if he did... Im intrigued to see more of the backstory there. The scene where the other wolf came with underwear and a small shirt was hilarious lol

The scene where the other wolf came with underwear and a small shirt was hilarious lol Given that they said females aren't strong enough to survive the turning/bite, I don't think him turning her intentionally was on the table. Could have been a Mutt or if Clay is responsible, maybe a slip up like whatshisname? I'm actually wondering if Elena's pack is higher on the food chain and is tasked with keeping order, info/history, and carrying out punishment. MT has a chain of command for their Wolves where some packs are assigned regions/cities where other packs in those areas report to them and then you have the 'Marrok' (Bran) who is the Alpha/Leader of the NA Wolves/oversees all of them. Elena's pack might fall into 'Enforcer' territory which obviously conflicts with her own morals in killing (might be more than that though as we've seen shes been suppressing her Wolf/change for up to a month at a time which impacts her changing more than once in such a short time and gave her rant about wanting a normal life). Yeah, really want to know what happened. Elena is fine with everyone else but Clay. Think she was the one who made the 'good little soldier' comment so if Jeremy did tell Clay to break it off and it's out of the blue for Elena, explains why she hates him so. Or the whole psychopath thing which doesn't sit well with her and being dropped in her lap when she was brought into their world. A whole different look at him in that case. Maybe those lingering feelings are for the Clay she knew as a human and the distance she keeps now is because of other tendencies/personality he kept from her. Could be too much for her to deal with.

I do not think he turned her intentionally but she met the family through him so I am assuming either he accidentally bit her or maybe he was attacked by a mutt while they were together and she was bitten in the process. OR worse case he forced the bite on her or Someone else forced the bite on her to get back at Clay thinking she would die. I am taking that the clan are high in the list of clans. They handle Mutts not unless they just handle that area where they live. Just thinking about Clay gets on my nerves. He was smothering here every chance he got.

*Golf Clap* Good going SyFy. Just what I wanted: an earlier time slot. You have my view now since that's a dead time slot for me (LG I'm watching on Netflix now so I'm waiting for this season to finish).

Episode 3 Thoughts: {Spoiler} Already mentioned that I don't like the cliche of a child being brought in. Aside from that, the Danvers discovered the boy's body at the worst possible time...or should I say, Hunters were tresspassing at a piss poor time. Clay wanted to move the body off their property but they were interrupted and really needed to avoid any finger pointing which happened anyways. The Hunters were trying to point the finger at the Danvers that this was the 2nd kill on/near their property and that they wanted to keep an eye on the boy while the Sheriff arrived so 'evidence wasn't disturbed'. They also think the Danvers are involved cause there is a Wolf on their property and they're really not doing anything to find it (in other words, why aren't you out here hunting it down like us?). Clay gets confrontational with one of them while Elena picks a fight with their dog. Shortly after the Hunters are escorted away and the Sheriff is called/arrives, the Danvers make plans on what to do. Elena says she'll stay longer (-_-) and once again, is paired up with Clay for the day with going into town to tackle bars to find the scent of the Mutt. Logan, Pete and Nick are tasked with meeting a guy named 'Carl' (?) who has more knowledge of Mutts while Jeremy and Antonio (?) stay on the property to help the Sheriff as best as they can. During this though, Jeremy makes a comment to Elena about the dog and she says it wouldn't be the first time she's been bitten and leverages that at Clay so I'm guessing that's a pretty big hint to how she was turned cause he seemed to take offense to that. Also after the plans are made, Jeremy asks Elena outside cause some flowers were delivered for her from Phillip. Apparently Jeremy has some rules/dislikes with long term relationships with humans (and if the later conversation with Carl is any indication, he moves around every few years as a rule/guideline for Wolves I guess due to their slower aging). Anyways, Elena & Clay end up hitting up a rave/party at a Warehouse thinking the Mutt would show up. He is there and after Elena & him talk, he presses the wrong buttons with Elena cause he doesn't want her ruining his fun. Elena however ends up triggering his change as he has no control over it and she can't get him out of the building. A few moments later, he busts out from the office he was locked in and into the partygoers. Attacks one guy, kills a girl and Clay couldn't get into the warehouse early on due to all the people rushing out. Sheriff rushes over from the Danver's property once they get the call and after shooting the Mutt twice (still confused as to why they stopped, you'll see), he's run down (or should I say decimated/obliterated) by someone's SUV. Before the Sheriff can get into the warehouse, Elena & Clay go back in to find the guy that was bitten. He's a user (heroine) so Clay puts him down as a 'mercy killing', despite Elena's pleas, saying that he wouldn't have made it. All during this time, Logan, Nick and Pete are at Nick's soon to be opened club, meeting with Carl to get some answers on who may have turned the Mutt they were hunting down. They find his appearance there so soon very odd as he was supposed to be overseas (?) but seemed to be in town/right around the corner and at that, seemed to have a deal/self assurance that he could get the name already planned out. He wants Jeremy to grant him some turf/land. Yeah, that's all too fishy. After Pete gets a call from Jeremy that the Mutt is dead, him and Logan are free to go home. Back at the home, Elena & Clay still seem to be getting into it over what happened and Elena goes as far to say that both of them act poorly when around each other. Elena tells Jeremy she's leaving in the morning and that she's through. So jump back to Toronto (right?), after some bang bang with her piece of meat Phillip, while making dinner, Elena is surprised to see Logan and his girlfriend at the door for a double date dinner (I laughed at Logan's expression and the fact that the two were blindsided by this and had to get a story straight about their family and what happened while they were away). Really enjoyed seeing all of them get along post dinner but that was all ruined as while Antonio & Nick were leaving as well to look into Carl a bit more, they discover Pete's body Throat slashed and I think some fingers were missing too but Clay says he got a piece of who attacked him/they didn't walk away unscathed. Really sad to see Pete dead Someone obviously knew that the pack was 'wrapping' up business with the Mutt's death and would be sent back their own ways and I assume because of the Mutt being killed, still wanted to send a message to the Danvers' pack that it wasn't just humans that they could get at or that they were messing with someone's plans. Really wanting to know who's doing this. Someone has some serious beef with the Danvers pack to go the lengths they're going to draw attention to them and I'd wager that if this continues on any longer, if there is anyone above the Danvers pack and they can't wrap things up definitively, they may be seen unfit to do the job they're supposed to (uphold their laws and deal with these sorts of problems). Would probably open up the property/turf to another pack possibly to move in to assume to role. Clay was actually a bit more tolerable this episode as well. Surprisingly. Elena is probably beating herself up over how the night progressed. She lost it with the Mutt, causing his change and then had to watch Clay do the exact thing she had a problem with. The guy was a victim and Elena thought he still could have been saved/lived (as a Wolf obviously) but Clay thought it'd be too tough of a life for him from then on and put him down. Think that act forced her out once again. I do have to say I love the little hints/drops we've been getting each episode about the past history with some characters as well as the laws of their world/being a Werewolf.
