The more I think about it, the more I prefer if Elijah & Haley will choose obligation over romantic love - for now. It fits Elijah's character to make such a choice for Hope's safety, and for Hayley to do so as a Mom. I don't expect it to last though, star-crossed lovers and all that. I'm looking forward to Elijah's arc too; it's such an interesting twist to have him taking action and not remembering since he typically has such tight control on himself. I think it is just Daniel! "I'm eating dinner - sexy." "I'm staring into the distance - sexy." There was definitely a vibe with Gia. I think I agree with you and hope they go that route too. It would be more interesting for the characters. I remember reading from one of the articles/spoilers I posted which for the life of me I can't find now because I've posted so many, they hinted that it could go that way. They said that Elijah and Hayley are very much star-crossed so I don't see them getting together anytime soon. I did find the spoiler about Elijah's arc coming up with him trying to deal with what his mom did to him so that will be exciting to see. I want him to resume his training with Gia. She fell off the planet and I really liked her. "I'm eating dinner!" and "staring in the distance" Sexy! With Elijah, we're seeing the lasting effects of being tortured by his mom. Will he unravel?Narducci: There's a big storyline going forward for Elijah where he's having a hard time keeping control of what Esther has unleashed within in him. True to form, Elijah realizes this red door, this capacity to violence, is something he's been able to control for 1,000 years and he might not be able to control it anymore. So he has to figure out how to control it, if there's a way to control it, and if there's a way to his benefit to let that door swing open and use his ferocity as an advantage against those who have threatened his family. What cost might that have if he were to do so? Elijah will always behave in the most noble way, but he is a vampire and there's a cost to that existence which Elijah will have to explore. I hope Elijah will get back to training vampires soon, so we can see what happens with Gia. She might even help him through some of his problems. Narducci said: "...where he's having a hard time keeping control of what Esther has unleashed within him..." I'm still a little vague about the whole red door. I thought it meant Elijah had done all these violent acts throughout time but kept the memories stored behind the door in his mind so he didn't remember acting. Sort of like what happened in the restaurant. But Narducci says Elijah's been controlling his violent impulses all this time. How did the red door help him control his violence? What's your take? I've ignored the how and just know Elijah's in trouble.

I have a feeling with everything going down he's going to need a distraction and also help lead his people so hopefully he will start training them again. I'm sure that will make Marcel giddy. I'm really confused about all of his comments too. I don't know how the door would help him control it. I thought he was aware of everything he's done over the years and does control himself and only uses violence when necessary to protect his family. Let's face it he's not like Klaus who kills anyone whenever he doesn't get his way. I think the red door just helped him block out what he did to Tatia. He was so devastated that he blocked it out? His mother was trying to mess with his head so it's rather confusing so It made sense before that episode so now I have no clue! At least its not predictable and they keep us guessing!

Thanks for your explanation. I'm taking a page from your book and just going with it! You must be right about Tatia because Elijah flashes back to her & the red door together. I thought Esther forced false memories on him but quotes after the Red Door indicated he definitely killed Tatia. Dumb Esther.

Since they're talking about this new arc for Elijah I would really like to see more of his past. We've seen stuff with Klaus and Kol and they've been the ones who've gone on murder sprees. Elijah has always been the one to try to keep a low profile and kept things in order which leads me to believe that Esther really was just messing with him. Now obviously he's killed as we've seen on TVD and here, but I'd like to seem more of that and what lengths he's had to go to in order to protect the family or what else would motive him to do so. Dumb Esther indeed! I hope she chooses to die because I can't stand the thought of having to deal with her anymore! That actress is just awful and over the top! I wish they'd brought the original Esther back! Now we're stuck with this one if she chooses to become a vampire! Please choose death! She hates abominations!

You're right wednesday, we haven't had many flashbacks about Elijah solo, just him in relation to his siblings and Celeste. I can't agree more about this Esther. The younger version bothered me more if possible. Trying to replace Alice Evans is a mistake. Seeing her in flashbacks makes any comparison harder to take. I think they'll drag out her SL, one of the siblings will force her to be a vampire as punishment, etc. I'm hoping she'll die though!

You can't tell he's my favorite or anything! The more Daniel Gillies on my screen the better! I thought I hated the young Esther, but this one takes the cake for me! I mean I really wanted to the young one, but this one I just want to Seriously!!! As much as I love seeing Alice in FBs they need to just stop because it makes it worse and makes me only miss her more! Don't even say that about this Esther sticking around! The thought of them making her a regular makes me want to I still don't like Finn, but he plays crazy well I'll give him that. I can't imagine any of the others wanting her to stick around though except for maybe Klaus just out of sheer enjoyment for watching her suffer!

We'll be there with front row seats with bells on and lots of popcorn!!!
