What a fantastic idea deb! It really was hard to pick just one scene but here is one that is memorable. 1x01 I also wanted to point out that stefan-is-elenas-lobster.tumblr.com/ posted recently: I want you to be happy….
Elena’s words to
Herself (6x4)
Stefan (6x22)
Damon (6x22)
Coincidence? I think not. I’m betting we'll hear these words uttered again in the series finale.
What a great tie to the pilot for Stefan to say to Elena 'I want you to be happy Elena'. It's a nice bookend to Stefan telling Elena in the pilot 'You won't be sad forever Elena.' Who knows maybe Damon will say this to Elena too once he realises that human Elena is truly happy with Stefan so he finally leaves her alone to be happy and live her life the way she chooses. 1x02 There was one scene besides the one that deb posted with Stefan lending Elena the Wuthering Heights. It's not as good as SE's first kiss but it's still sweet. 1x03 1x04 (watch until 2:30 unless you want to inadvertently see Damon hijinks)

And, here goes the second round Lost Girls - This was sad episode for SE but, with very powerful scenes. Haunted 162 Candles - Jealous Elena. Cute. History Repeating The Turning Point - The scene that made me ship SE

Great scenes Deb! There's too many great ones really!!! Here's just a few of mine. 2x06 - probably favourite is the wrong word but everytime I watch it I still get emotional - it still gets to me!!!!
1x18 under control
3x05 the reckoning (again not a great lovey scene but just an epic scene in my book, stefan resisting klaus for Elena)
2x02 brave new world
There's too many argh!!!!

Has anyone read the LJ Smith fan fiction from amazon? It picks up after Midnight. I was not a fan of her new "version" of TVD since I am such a purist of the original 4. I don't like that there are cell phones and computers lol. I don't like that Bonnie is a witch...but I DO LIKE that despite her being drawn to Damon, it was always and will always be Stefan for her. There is temptation between Damon and Elena, but LJS never back tracks, she never makes you doubt that Stefan is "The One". She never glosses over what Damon has done. He is a bad guy and she treats him as such. I always preferred book Damon to TV Damon.
I didn't see a place for book discussion other than the quotes, so I hope ya'll don't mind book talk. I was 12 years old in 1991 and that is when I wentninto this tiny book store and found TVD...I loved Stefan and Elena immediately. When Dark Reunion ended, I don't remember to this day, ever being so satisfied with a book. Stefan was it, and LJS knew it.

I read the books LJ Smith wrote for Amazon Kindle. I liked them but those new books felt like just one chapter of a big story... like only the beginning of more but more never came

I didn't come across the original 4 books until a little later than yourself but I read them long before TVD tv aired and they are what originally made me fall in love the Stefan & Elena! I know that i definitely have read The first two books from The Return trilogy but I can't remember if I've read the 3rd Midnight??? Whoops!

I haven't read the new LJ Smith fan fiction but I read the original books just a few years ago when I fell in love with SE. The only thing I didn't like about her original story line was that she had Elena go ballistic when Damon died - don't be too happy everyone cause he comes back. And I'm pretty sure that was LJ's version. I didn't get it while reading it and I still don't get the TV adaptation to Elena's love of Damon. There was a lot more that I didn't like about the ghostwriters continuation especially killing off Stefan - how does that make any sense. Could they not have at least given him a HEA even if it had nothing to do with Elena. I may pick up LJ's new stuff but not until she's finished the series. I know it sounds horrible but if she pulls a fast one and makes DE endgame I'm not in the mood to waste my time reading it just to have to burn it.

The last three TVD books I read were called: Unseen, Unspoken, Unmasked. Prepare to burn it.

Yes the last one was pure ridiculousness and written right out of true blue DE fanfiction.

demetra I read Unseen but waited until Unmasked came out. I think the last 2 came out at the same time. I knew it was the last one so I went right to the end saw the big pile of crap and didn't bother even reading the last 2 books. tvdfansince1991 I don't consider this to be canon because it was written by a ghostwriter. We'll see how LJ Smith finishes the series.

“… the past two years, Paul and I have been working so closely almost every day, towards the beginning of the Season 3 we had absolutely no scenes together. So that was one of the first scenes where we’re actually working together again. …when we locked eyes it really felt like we were locking eyes for the first time. But nothing was said everything was in the looks, the tension was built up so much, it was palpable, you can feel the love, fear, anxiety, the memories and history between the two” [x] - Nina Dobrev: Elena & Stefan “Trapped in the Closet” (3x03)
