wednesday You are rockin it on your choice of Buffy gifs. Hey Writers of TVD (and Elena Gilbert)...if you want to copy Buffy like you have on occasion, copy the good stuff. So you know, instead of having to chose between the two brothers and cause a rift, CHOSE YOURSELF AND WALK AWAY FROM BOTH. Do everyone a favor. Buffy excelled in that...making the hard choice. Walking away from something you wanted because it wasn't what you needed.

I always liked Angel more that I liked Buffy. To me it was more grown up and better written. Though Buffy was funnier. I have to admit that.

OMG, shush your mouth...I can't break up with you just yet @dman24, no one understands my chanting like you do...but better writing?! Surely, you are drunk or I am. Clearly, I am reverse of this. Minus Angel being darker, which it had to be, I feel the collective crotch punch of season 4 Angel ruined it to go toe to toe with Buffy writing wise. At times I would call it a complete draw but the highs of Buffy are higher than the highs of Angel. Because even at its best, there isn't an Angel episode that could sniff what "The Body" brought to the table. Which is arguably one of the best hours of television I have ever seen. Anya's speech on death makes me ugly cry like you wouldn't believe (seriously like snot running down my face ugly). Willow and Tara's first kiss being this completely organic moment, that was heartfelt & poignant and not a gimmick. That episode is perfection. One of my favorite Buffy episodes actually is the unsung awesomeness of "Selfless" 7x05. Written by Drew Goddard. An Anya flashback episode. Go Netflix that one, Drew Goddard just crushes it. I have a weird crush on Drew Goddard, is that nerdy to ship writers?

I often dream of Spike meeting Damon... you know they both spent time in new york city during the height of the punk movement, had to bump into each other. Damon you might have that smolder down, but your snark ain't got nothing on Spike.

I just always gravitated to that show more. Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but that's just the way I felt about both shows. I know this is sacrilege (no burning at the stake, please. I have work tomorrow), but I always thought Buffy was a little overrated. (Just like the Avengers is overrated.) It just wasn't as good as everyone thought it was. It was a little too silly sometimes for me. But like I said, it's only my opinion, and I'm certainly not trying to convince you otherwise.

You will have to excuse my bluster over BtVS, it bled over into academia for me so my analysis of it is like a weird life's work sort of thing, I'm out of control and should be slapped. I obsess over Angel too, but for research purposes more was to be drawn from the mothership of Buffy (though some great stuff from season 2 Angel in regards secular humanism). Plus when I say my opinion is 100% right, and yours is 100% wrong, know that I am also 100% joking. or maybe 99.9%...I have my flaws.

I just had my latest Buffy rerun a few months ago. Personally I like Buffy series better than Angel, although I plan a rerun of Angel in future as well. I also like to listen to the Buffy podcast "The Art of Slaying"...just love podcasts. And it is the best Buffy podcast imo. I tried out a few but Jay and Brian just hit the nail each time.

Did you guys like the musical episode of Buffy, I have the CD And I think they had alot of fun, though some of the crew admitted in interviews that they were terrified of singing.
